Domingo Moreno Jimenes
Domingo Segundo Moreno Jimenes (7 January 1894 in Santo Domingo – 23 September 1986 in ''ibidem'') was a writer from the Dominican Republic; the founder and leader of the ', a Dominican Republic literature, Dominican literary movement. Moreno Jimenes was the only-child of the goldsmith Domingo Moreno Arriaga, and his wife María Josefa Jimenes Hernández. He was Infant baptism, christened on 4 August 1894. He was the great-grandson and grandson of Presidents Manuel Jimenes and Juan Isidro Jimenes, respectively; the lawyer Guillermo Moreno García is his grandson. He married Emelinda Espinal López. Guillermo Antonio Moreno García (born August 15, 1956) is a Dominican lawyer and politician, whom served as the District Attorney for the Distrito Nacional during the term 1996-1997. He's the president of the party Country Alliance. Early years and family Moreno is the son of the writer and poet Juan Isidro Moreno and Mercedes García Fernández, being the first of seven brothers. Juan Isidro Jimenes Pereyra (November 15, 1846 – May 9, 1919) was a Dominican political figure. He served as the president of the Dominican Republic between 15 November 1899 and 2 May 1902, and again between 5 December 1914 and 7 May 1916. Jimenes was one of the main leaders of the Los Bolos, Blue party or Jimenistas, opposed to the Los Coludos or Horacistas, led by Horacio Vásquez. He was married to Josefa de los Santos Domínguez.
