Dokuz Eylül University ( tr, Dokuz Eylül Üniversitesi) (DEÜ) is a university in İzmir, Turkey. It was founded in 1982 and is organized in 15 faculties. DEU is the first university which applied the problem-based learning method in Turkey, beginning in the School of Medicine in 1997. Balık Sisters
The Balık Sisters are an opera act composed of Turkish identical twin sisters Didem Balık and Sinem Balık (born May 21, 1974). Didem is a mezzo-soprano while Sinem is a soprano. The sisters, who claim to be the only identical twin opera singers performing professionally, are also known by the nickname "the Opera twins." Since 2000, Didem and Sinem have been living and performing in Vienna, Austria. Early life Born in İzmir, Turkey, Didem is five minutes older than Sinem. They have three younger brothers. The twin's study of music began when they were only four years old, before they could read and write. Their music teacher taught them musical notation with the help of colors; they remembered that red denoted C, blue D, yellow E, lilac F, and so on. At age of nine, the Balıks left piano playing and dedicated themselves to singing.

İbrahim Karagül
İbrahim Karagül (born 1969 in Sinlice, Salpazari, Trabzon) is a Turkish journalist and a former editor in chief of the newspaper ''Yeni Safak''. Education and early life He attended primary school in Sinlice, secondary education he received in Rize, Ordu and Trabzon. He graduated from the Imam Hatip school in Trabzon. Betül Cemre Yıldız Kadıoğlu (born 16 May 1989) is a top female chess player from Turkey. She is a Woman Grandmaster (WGM), and won the Turkish women's championship eleven times in total. She became in 2004 Woman International Master (WIM), and was awarded the title Woman Grandmaster in 2012, becoming the first ever Turkish WGM.
