Bib Doda
Bib Doda Pasha (1820–1868) was the ruler of Mirdita. He held the Ottoman rank of ''kapedan'' (captain) and the honorific ''pasha'' (governor). Family Bib Doda belonged to the Gjonmarkaj clan which had led Mirdita for a long period. He started ruling his clan at a young age, since his father Gjok Doda was murdered. He married a Muslim woman , Hide (daughter of Hasan Ajazi), from Armalle village in the Lurë region. He was the father of Prenk Bib Doda, who would later play an important role in the Albanian politics of the early 20th century. Agreement with Serbia Bib Doda Pasha together with influential abbot Gaspër Krasniqi and Mark Prenk Lleshi from Mirdita, as representatives of Mirdita, reached an agreement with Serbian Internal Minister Ilija Garašanin in 1849 regarding cooperation with Serbia and Montenegro against the Ottoman Empire. Anton Doda
Anton Duoda (Italian: ''Antonio Duodo'') (German: ''Antonios Duoda'') (c. 1680, Shkodër – died November 24, 1766) was an Albanian vice consul and merchant from Shkodër between 1706 and 1756 working for Venice. He was married to Marija Borci. Doda derived from the family today part of Tushi and Shani. In 1734, he writes that Kurt Mahmut Pasha, bey of Shkodër, traveled to his home city Gjakova. According to the Albanian newspaper ''Leka'' from 1933, in July 1733, Doda warned that the Pasha of Shkodër was planning on launching an attack on Montenegro. He sent the news to Zorzi Grimani, the General of Dalmatia. In 1735, Anton Doda thanked secretary Cromwell for the position of vice consul of Venice. In 1736, Doda writes that Shkodër has 1000 shops in the market. At the beginning of the 17th century, Doda built his house in Tophane close to the Venetian embassy in Shkodërr. Carol Ann Doda (August 29, 1937November 9, 2015) was an American topless dancer based in San Francisco, California, who was active from the 1960s through the 1980s. She was the first public topless dancer in the United States. In 1964, Doda made international news, first by dancing topless at the city's Condor Club, then by enhancing her bust from size 34 to 44 through silicone injections. A year later, she was arrested along with the owners of the Condor Club, but all three of them were later cleared of charges. Federico Seismit-Doda
Federico Seismit-Doda (1825–1893) was an Italian politician who gained prominence during the Revolutions of 1848 in the Italian states. Frederico Seismit-Doda was born in Ragusa (Dubrovnik) in the Kingdom of Dalmatia (today's Croatia). His family was an Albanian from the Doda tribe of Mirditë. He graduated from the University of Padua and collaborated at Caffè Pedrocchi; in 1849 fought with the volunteers in Veneto and in 1849 participated in the defence of Roman Republic. After exile to Greece and to Piedmont in 1850, he collaborated in various newspapers and magazines, and published a volume of his memories ''Venetian Volunteers''. He died in Rome. Xhevdet Doda
Xhevdet Doda ( sh-Cyrl-Latn, Џевдет Дода, Dževdet Doda; 1906–1945) was a Yugoslavian teacher by profession who was active in the resistance against German occupation in Kosovo during World War II. Doda was member of the Yugoslav Partisans and member of the Liberation Council of Kosovo. He was arrested by Gestapo in 1944 and killed in the Mauthausen concentration camp (Bicerk-1). He was posthumously proclaimed People's Hero of Yugoslavia in 1973. Biography Doda was born in Prizren in 1906 into an ethnic Albanian family. For a short time, Doda, worked as a lecturer at an Albanian school in Novi Pazar, Sandžak. He was, like many other teachers, posthumously decorated with the "Naim Frashëri" title by President of Albania Sali Berisha in his Decree No. 811 of 11 April 1994, in his case for opening Albanian language schools.
