Doctor Light is the name of different characters in DC Comics. Fictional character biography Golden Age version The unnamed man that would become Doctor Light held a faculty position at Ivy League University until he was fired for conducting dangerous experiments on university grounds. This caused the former faculty member to become Doctor Light where he wielded light-based technology and turned to a life of crime. At 3:00 a.m. in a New York town, he generated enough light to make it feel like it is the middle of the day which caused the police officers and security guards that were working the night shift to stare at this phenomenon. This served as a distraction so that Doctor Light could rob the armored vault that's in the factory of its weekly payroll. Doctor Light's crime spree was noticed by Doctor Mid-Nite who tracked him down and fought him. Doctor Light is a bipartite character comprising supervillain Arthur Light and superhero Jacob Finlay, appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. His stint as Doctor Light is concurrent with that of a superheroine using the same name and a nearly identical costume, Kimiyo Hoshi. In 2009, Doctor Light was ranked as IGN's 84th-greatest comic book villain of all time. He made his live-adaptation debut in one episode of the series '' Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman'', played by David Bowe. He also appeared in the second season of the DC Universe series ''Titans'', played by Michael Mosley. Doctor Light is a superhero appearing in comic books published by DC Comics. Kimiyo Hoshi is a distinct character from the villain of the same name. Starman (comics)
Starman is a name used by several different DC Comics superheroes, most prominently Starman (Ted Knight), Ted Knight and his sons David and Starman (Jack Knight), Jack. Created by writer Gardner Fox and artist Jack Burnley, the original Starman, Ted Knight, first appeared in ''Adventure Comics'' #61 (April 1941).
