Doctor Decherd (foaled March 23, 2003) is a thoroughbred horse. He was a contender for the Triple Crown of Thoroughbred Racing in 2006. Doctor Decherd was on the Derby trail in 2006, anran against Barbaro in the Holy Bull stakes''(click the Holy Bull video),'' won thAventura Stakesridden by Jockey Shaun Bridgmohan and had dropped down into the 4K claiming ranks in the spring of 2008. Because of the proactive approach to this horse's trainer, by Friends Of BarbarLinda& Patty, to offer a retirement home for Doctor Decherd - he was retired from the track in September 2008 and brought to Texas for rehab and retraining into a second career. Doctor Decherd has sponsors amongst the Friends Of Barbaro all over the country (and Canada), who contribute to his upkeep and all "own" a little piece this horse. Lyphard
Lyphard (10 May 1969 – 10 June 2005) was an American-bred, French-trained Thoroughbred racehorse and an important sire. Background American bred in Pennsylvania, Lyphard was a son of Northern Dancer out of the mare Goofed. He was auctioned as a weanling at November's Keeneland Sales to Tim Rogers, a horseman from Ireland, who then put him up for sale at Newmarket in England. There, renowned French trainer and breeder Alec Head purchased him on behalf of Madame Germaine Wertheimer, widow of the prominent French horseman and owner of the famous House of Chanel, Pierre Wertheimer. Germaine Wertheimer gave Lyphard his name in honor of the Ukrainian-born French ballet dancer and choreographer Serge Lifar. Mr Prospector
Mr. Prospector (January 28, 1970 – June 1, 1999) was a Thoroughbred racehorse who became an outstanding breeding stallion and notable sire of sires. A sprinter whose career was cut short by repeated injuries, he won seven of his 14 starts, including the Gravesend Handicap at Aqueduct Racetrack and the Whirlaway Handicap at Garden State Park. Mr. Prospector began his stallion career in Florida as a regional sire. He proved so successful that he was moved to Kentucky where he became a leading sire and later a leading broodmare sire. Nodouble (1965–1990) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. In a career that lasted from 1967 to 1970, he won eleven races from across the country, including the Arkansas Derby, Hawthorne Gold Cup (twice) and the Santa Anita, Brooklyn and Metropolitan Handicaps. He was twice voted American Champion Older Male Horse by the Thoroughbred Racing Association. After retirement to stud, he became the leading sire in North America of 1981 and was also a notable broodmare sire. My Dear Girl (foaled February 17, 1957 in Florida) was an American Champion Thoroughbred racehorse. Background My Dear Girl was bred by Ocala Stud Farm, owned by a nine-person syndicate headed by Bruce Campbell that was in just its second year of operation. She was purchased by Floridian Frances A. Genter, who would own and race a number of top horses including Unbridled, who won the 1990 Kentucky Derby. Racing career My Dear Girl made her racing debut on February 19, 1959 at Florida's Hialeah Park Race Track. She was initially trained by Melvin "Sunshine" Calvert's assistant George Seabo but after the filly won the 1959 Florida Breeders' Stakes at Hialeah, Calvert decided to take charge. Shenanigans (horse)
Shenanigans (17 March 1963 – 21 May 1977) was an American thoroughbred mare born in Kentucky. She was sired by Native Dancer and out of the Locust Hill foundation mare Bold Irish. Owner Stuart Janney Jr. recalled, "Shenanigans was meant to be a good mare, she had speed and she was second to Miss Spin in the Maryland Futurity, but she developed a little calcium in a knee. She raced a little bit at three, but we decided she wasn't going to be able to win a stakes, so we stopped with her." The Janneys considered sending her to Bold Ruler for her first season, but she was sent to Knightly Manner instead and failed to conceive. The next breeding was with Neartic. Bold Lad (1962–1986) was an American Champion Thoroughbred racehorse. Background Bold Lad bred and raced by Gladys Phipps and her brother Ogden L. Mills under their Wheatley Stable banner. His sire was eight-time leading sire in North America Bold Ruler, and his dam was the racing mare Misty Morn. He was trained by Bill Winfrey. Beatrice Mills Forbes, Lady Granard, the sister of Gladys Mills Phipps and Ogden L. Mills, bred the British mare Barn Pride to Bold Ruler, producing another colt named Bold Lad.
