Alan Docking Racing
Alan Docking Racing (ADR) is a motor racing team based in Silverstone, United Kingdom. The team was formed in 1975 by Australian Alan Docking. The team competed in the British Formula 3 series throughout most of its existence; however, it has also graduated to A1 Grand Prix and Superleague Formula and has also competed in sports and saloon cars at a national and international level. The team ran also as Alan Docking Racing Finland. Currently, the team runs in the FIA World Endurance Championship as Delta-ADR, in a joint venture with engineering company Delta Motorsport (with one car branded as G-Drive Racing). Alfred Docking
Alfred E. Docking (born April 9, 1860 – 1938) was a Presbyterian missionary in Alaska in the 1890s. He was born in Sawston, Cambridgeshire, England. Docking emigrated to America and settled in Kansas with his parents, Robert Docking and Martha Mynott, in 1876. Docking chose to direct his missionary efforts towards Native American populations, first in Oklahoma (then called Indian Territory), where he worked as a superintendent of Spencer Academy in the town of Nelson. During the years 1891-1893 Docking and his wife, Anna Allen Marshall, taught at the Sitka Training School, a Presbyterian missionary school for Indian boys and girls at Sitka, Alaska. Docking and his family went to California in 1894, where he was ordained after completing his education at the San Francisco Theological Seminary in 1895. George Docking
George Docking (February 23, 1904 – January 20, 1964) was an American businessman who served as the 35th governor of Kansas (1957–1961). He was a member of the Democratic Party. Biography Born in Clay Center, Kansas, Docking was educated in the public schools of Lawrence, Kansas. He graduated from the University of Kansas in 1925. He married Mary Virginia Blackwell, and they had two children. Docking was a Presbyterian. Career Docking changed party affiliations when Franklin D. Roosevelt was first nominated for president. In 1952, he became the fundraiser for the presidential campaign of Adlai Stevenson. Docking was elected Governor of Kansas in 1956 and reelected in 1958, making him the first member of the Democratic Party to serve more than a single term as governor in Kansas. Jeffrey R. Docking is president of Adrian College. He has held that position since 2005. He previously worked as a senior administrator and men's ice hockey coach at Washington & Jefferson College. Biography Docking grew up in Michigan, including a portion of time beginning in 2nd grade when his family lived in the Michigan State University dormitories while his father completed doctoral studies. During that time, he became a fan of the Michigan State Spartans men's ice hockey and worked as a stick boy. Upon completion of his studies, Docking's father became deputy superintendent of the East Lansing Public Schools. Jonathan Docking is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1980s and 1990s. Playing career A Cronulla junior, Docking played for the Sharks for eight seasons between 1984 and 1991, debuting as a 20-year-old. He played over 160 first grade games and scored 57 first grade tries during his career. Docking played his junior career as a , where he was given a scholarship to the Sharks as a schoolboy in 1982. Robert Blackwell Docking (October 9, 1925October 8, 1983) was an American politician who served as the 38th governor of Kansas from 1967 until 1975.
