Dobyns Bennett High School
Dobyns-Bennett High School is a high school ( grades 9–12) in Kingsport, Tennessee, United States. It typically educates around 1,800 students, although enrollment for the 2014–15 academic year exceeded 2,100 students. As a part of Kingsport City Schools, students must be city residents paying city taxes to attend. Students that are not residents of the city may pay a tuition fee to attend. This tuition is collected to account for tax differences between county and city residents in order to help subsidize the cost of school programs and facilities. Dobyns-Bennett features a variety of programs for students of all academic levels. The many classes offered cater to many types of students who may want to attend technical schools or universities across the nation. Ulysses (poem)
"Ulysses" is a poem in blank verse by the Victorian era, Victorian poet Alfred, Lord Tennyson (1809–1892), written in 1833 and published in 1842 in his well-received Poems (Tennyson, 1842), second volume of poetry. An oft-quoted poem, it is a popular example of the dramatic monologue. Facing old age, mythical hero Odysseus, Ulysses describes his discontent and restlessness upon returning to his kingdom, Homer's Ithaca, Ithaca, after his far-ranging travels. The College Football Hall of Fame is a hall of fame and interactive attraction devoted to college football. Bobby Dodd
Robert Lee Dodd (November 11, 1908 – June 21, 1988) was an American college football player and coach, college baseball coach, and college athletics administrator. He served as the head football coach at Georgia Tech from 1945 to 1966, compiling a record of 165–64–8. His teams won consecutive Southeastern Conference (SEC) title in 1951 and 1952, and his 1952 Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets football team won the 1953 Sugar Bowl and was recognized as a national champion by a number of selectors though they finished second behind Michigan State in both major polls. Dodd was also Georgia Tech's head baseball coach from 1932 to 1939, tallying a mark of 43–64–2, and the school's athletic director from 1950 until 1976. Denver Junior Crawford (June 16, 1921 – August 14, 2005) was a professional American football guard. He played at the University of Tennessee including the 1943 Sugar Bowl. He lettered at Tennessee in 1942, 1946 and 1947 where he was elected team captain as a senior. In the 1947 Vanderbilt game Denny flattened three Vanderbilt Commodores with a devastating block, springing Hal Littleford for a 65-yard punt return touchdown. While serving in the military in World War II, he played service football for the 1944 Maxwell Field Marauders and the 1945 AAFTC Skymasters.
