Do You Know (Michelle Williams Album)
''Do You Know'' is the second studio album by American singer and songwriter Michelle Williams. It was released by the Sanctuary Records Group and Columbia Records on January 26, 2004 in the United States. ''Do You Know'' "straddles between contemporary gospel and inspirational R&B" and is described as portraying "a more intimate side of Michelle". It contains a greater percentage of mid and up-tempo songs, along with a much heavier and grander use of live instrumentation. Williams contributed lyrically to the album as she did with her debut album, co-writing a total of six songs. However, ''Do You Know'' is much more diverse, lyrically, than its predecessor ''Heart to Yours'', covering the themes of "spiritual" and "carnal" love and contains retrospective songs about Williams' career thus far, whilst still retaining the inspirational and encouraging lyrics that characterised ''Heart to Yours''. In the US, ''Do You Know'' found fair success on ''Billboard's'' component charts; pea ...

The accompanying music video for "Do You Know" was directed by Randee St. Nicholas. Critical reception A reviewer from ''Music Week'' gave the song four out of five, adding, "Strong R&B and house remixes will boost the profile of a pop song which, though not as uplifting as previous hits, is sung stunningly well." The magazine's Alan Jones wrote, "Michelle Gayle is easily the most accomplished singer to emerge from television drama in recent years — no apologies to Robson & Jerome, or any of their ilk — and her career as a recordi ...

Total (Total Album)
''Total'' is the debut album by American female R&B trio Total. It was released by Bad Boy Records and Arista Records on January 30, 1996 in the United States. ''Total'' was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and spawned the hit singles " Can't You See", " No One Else", "Kissin' You" and "Do You Think About Us"/"When Boy Meets Girl". Critical reception Allmusic senior editor Stephen Thomas Erlewine found that "while the album is simply too long to sustain the quality" of their previous "singles "See" and "No One Else," most of the record is filled with deep, seductive funk that follows through on the group's promise." ''Entertainment Weekly''s Dimitri Ehrlich wrote that "with a buttery delivery and enough sass to kill an elephant, this trio of hip-hop/soul vixens gives T ...
