Do It Alone
''Lights Out'' is the fifth studio album from Sugarcult, which was released on September 12, 2006 by V2 Records. Background Within the album booklet, there is a piece of writing entitled ''Lights Out And Recurrent Love Themes''. This piece of writing includes lyrics from various songs on the album and it links the content of the songs together to form a sort of concept. Release On June 12, ''Lights Out'' was announced for release. "Do It Alone" was released to radio on July 18; the song's music video was posted online on August 4, 2006. On August 24, 2006, ''Lights Out'' was made available for streaming, before being released on September 12 through Fearless/V2. The next day, an alternative video for "Do It Alone" was posted online. In September and October, the band went on a headlining tour, with support from the Spill Canvas, Halifax, Maxeen, and So They Say. Sugarcult is an American rock band from Santa Barbara, California formed in 1999. The band currently consists of Tim Pagnotta (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Airin Older (bass guitar, backing vocals), Marko DeSantis (lead guitar), and Kenny Livingston (drums, percussion). History Formation (1998-99) Tim Pagnotta met ex-drummer Ben Davis during a cigarette break at school. Davis (who then played bass) and Pagnotta started to play together on a regular basis. Pagnotta met Airin Older in a music class where Pagnotta was copying Older's work. They became good friends and Pagnotta invited Older to join his band. Davis moved to the position of drummer and Older filled in for Davis on bass. Marko DeSantis was added into the band after meeting Pagnotta backstage at a Superdrag concert. The Pink Spiders are an American rock band, formed in Nashville, Tennessee in 2003. The band consists of Matt Friction (lead vocals, guitar), JoCo (bass), Joey B-Side (drums), and Young James (guitar). Matt Friction and original drummer Bob Ferrari recruited Jon Decious (bass) and released their first EP, ''The Pink Spiders Are Taking Over!'', in 2004. The group toured around the Nashville area and an independent label released their debut album, ''Hot Pink'' in 2005. The Pink Spiders performed at The Viper Room in West Hollywood on March 2, 2005, after which they were signed by Geffen Records.
