''Do Hollywood'' is the debut studio album by American rock band The Lemon Twigs. It was released on 14 October 2016 by 4AD. It was co-produced by Jonathan Rado of indie rock band Foxygen. The album consists of 10 tracks written and performed almost entirely by teenage brothers Brian and Michael D'Addario. The instrumentation ranges from traditional rock and roll standbys such as guitar and bass to more eclectic elements like brass, organ, cello and xylophone. Both Brian and Michael sing lead vocals and play lead guitar or drums on various Lemon Twigs songs—usually each on his own compositions—and they often switch back and forth between the drum stool and the spotlight during live performances. Critical reception ''Do Hollywood'' received favorable reviews from most music critics. The Lemon Twigs are an American rock band from Long Island, New York, fronted by brothers Brian (b. March 21, 1997) and Michael D'Addario (b. March 3, 1999). Both brothers are vocalists, songwriters and multi-instrumentalists. History Early childhood Brian and Michael were born two years apart from each other, both in March. Ronnie D'Addario, their father, is a musician and songwriter from Manhattan who played with Irish folk singer Tommy Makem. Susan Hall, their mother, is a neuropsychologist from Ohio who pursued acting and entertainment in her younger years. The first few years of the D'Addario brothers' lives were spent in an apartment in Flushing, Queens. The family moved to a house in the suburbs of Long Island soon after the children were born. 4AD Albums
4AD is a British record label owned by Beggars Group. It was founded in London under the name "Axis" (after the Hendrix album) by Ivo Watts-Russell and Peter Kent in 1980 as an imprint of Beggars Banquet Records. The name was changed to 4AD after the release of the label's first four singles. Later that year, Watts-Russell and Kent purchased the label from Beggars Banquet to become an independent record label, and Kent sold his share to Watts-Russell a year later. Gregory Calbi (born April 3, 1949) is an American mastering engineer at Sterling Sound, New Jersey. Biography Greg Calbi was born on April 3, 1949, in Yonkers, New York, and raised in Bayside, Queens, New York. He graduated in 1966 from Bishop Reilly High School in Fresh Meadows. Calbi earned his bachelor's degree in Mass Communications at Fordham University where he studied with Marshall McLuhan and his staff for 3 of those years. Foxygen is an American indie rock duo from Westlake Village, California, formed in 2005. The band consists of multi-instrumentalist Jonathan Rado and vocalist Sam France. They have released six albums and a number of self-released EPs. History Rado and France started their band in high school when both were fourteen.
