Dmitry Makhonin
Dmitry Nikolayevich Makhonin (russian: Дмитрий Николаевич Махонин; born on 18 October 1982), is a Russian statesman and politician who is currently serving as the Governor of Perm Krai since 7 October 2020. He was in charge of the Federal Antimonopoly Service for Perm Krai from 2009 to 2013, and the fuel and energy complex and the chemical industry regulation department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service from 2013 until 2020. He was appointed to the rank of the in 2016. He is a member of the Yabloko political party. Biography Dmitry Makhonin was born in a small rural village of Ryabinino in Perm Oblast on 18 October 1982. The State Duma (russian: Госуда́рственная ду́ма, r=Gosudárstvennaja dúma), commonly abbreviated in Russian as Gosduma ( rus, Госду́ма), is the lower house of the Federal Assembly of Russia, while the upper house is the Federation Council. Perm Oblast
Until 1 December 2005, Perm Oblast (russian: Пе́рмская о́бласть) was a federal subject of Russia (an oblast) in Privolzhsky (Volga) Federal District. According to the results of the referendum held in October 2004, Perm Oblast was merged with Komi-Permyak Autonomous Okrug to form Perm Krai. It was established in 1938 as part of the RSFSR. From 1940 to 1957 it was named Molotov Oblast in honor of Vyacheslav Molotov. The oblast was named after its administrative center, the city of Perm. The Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia (FAS) (russian: Федеральная антимонопольная служба России, ФАС России) is the federal-level executive governmental organ that controls the execution of the antitrust law and related areas.
