Dmitry Belogolovtsev
Dmitry Vladimirovich Belogolovtsev (russian: Дмитрий Владимирович Белоголовцев) (born 26 November 1973) is a Russian ballet dancer, and former principal dancer of the Bolshoi Ballet. Born in Lviv, then part of the Ukrainian SSR, in the Soviet Union, Belogolovtsev joined the Moscow State Academy of Choreography in 1992, under the tutelage of Professor Alexander Bondarenko. He graduated in 1995, and joined the Bolshoi Ballet. He has taken part on various international projects, dancing alongside Nina Ananiashvili, Nadezhda Gracheva, and Anna Antonicheva. In 1993 he was award third prize and the bronze medal at the International Ballet Competition in Moscow, and in 1998 won the second prize at the USA International Ballet Competition. Also in 1998 he was awarded the title of Honoured Artist of Russia. Golden Mask (Russian Award)
The Golden Mask (russian: Золотая Маска, ''zolotaya maska'') is a Russian theatre festival and the National Theatre Award established in 1994 by the Theatre Union of Russia. The award is given to productions in all genres of theatre art: drama, opera, ballet, operetta and musical, and puppet theatre. It presents the most significant performances from all over Russia in Moscow in the spring of each year. The first Golden Mask award was given in 1995 presented by Union of Theatre Workers of the Russian Federation. The President of the Award is Igor Kostolevsky (who replaced the late Georgi Taratorkin in 2017). People's Artist of the Russian Federation (russian: Народный артист Российской Федерации, ''Narodnyy artist Rossiyskoy Federatsii''), also sometimes translated as National Artist of the Russian Federation, is an honorary and the highest title awarded to citizens of the Russian Federation, all outstanding in the performing arts, whose merits are exceptional in the sphere of the development of the performing arts (theatre, music, dance, circus, film, cinema, etc.). It succeeded both the all-Soviet Union "People's Artist of the USSR" award (Народный артист СССР), and more directly the local republic's "People's Artist of the RSFSR" award (Народный артист РСФСР), after the dissolution of the Soviet Union. The Bolshoi Ballet is an internationally renowned classical ballet company based at the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow, Russia. Founded in 1776, the Bolshoi is among the world's oldest ballet companies.
