Dmitri Alenichev
Dmitri Anatolyevich Alenichev (russian: Дмитрий Анатольевич Аленичев; born 20 October 1972) is a Russian football coach, former player and politician. Club career Despite being a Spartak Moscow fan, Alenichev debuted 1991 for Moscow rivals Lokomotiv Moscow, where he played four years before moving to Spartak, where in five years he won three Russian leagues and two cups, and was also elected Russian player of the year in 1997. Won Malta International Football Tournament 1996. He won a transfer to Italian Serie A side Roma, played 21 matches in the first season, but after only seven matches played in his second season, he moved to Perugia in December 1999. His stint in Italy overall proved to be unsuccessful and he was eventually considered to be one of Italian football's biggest foreign flops. Malta International Football Tournament
The Malta International Tournament was a biannual association football friendly competition for national teams organised by the Malta Football Association that took place in Malta between 1986 and 2008. Initially, the tournament included the participation of football clubs, but starting from 1988 this was revamped to include only national A teams. Usually played in February, the competition involved a single round-robin phase where each team played once against each other. Teams are ranked by points and at the end of the competition, the team with the most points is crowned champion. Up till 2004, the competition was sponsored by Rothmans and was known as the Rothmans Tournament for sponsorship reasons. 2003 UEFA Cup Final
The 2003 UEFA Cup Final was played on 21 May 2003 between Celtic of Scotland and Porto of Portugal. Porto won the match 3–2 in extra time thanks to a goal from Derlei. This was also the first game to use the silver goal rule, although it did not affect the outcome of the game as Porto scored in the second half of extra-time, thus meaning the game had to be played until the end of extra-time. Prior to this game, no club from Scotland or Portugal had ever won the UEFA Cup. The game had what UEFA described at the time as "the largest travelling support to have assembled for a single game" – around 80,000 Celtic fans travelled to Seville for the final. The 2001–02 Primeira Liga was the 68th edition of top flight of Portuguese football. It started on 11 August 2001 with a match between Varzim and Benfica, and ended on 6 May 2002. The league was contested by 18 clubs with Boavista as the defending champions. Sergei Ivanovich Ovchinnikov ( rus, Серге́й Ива́нович Овчи́нников, p=sʲɪrˈɡʲej ɪˈvanəvʲɪtɕ ɐfˈtɕinʲːɪkəf; born 10 November 1970 in Moscow) or Boss is a manager and former association football goalkeeper who played for the Russian national team. Octávio Machado
Octávio Joaquim Coelho Machado (born 6 May 1949) is a retired Portuguese football defensive midfielder and coach. Club career Born in Palmela, Setúbal District, Machado was a leading player for Vitória de Setúbal and FC Porto during the 1970s, winning two Primeira Liga titles with the latter even though he missed the entire 1978–79 due to injury.
