Djukbinj National Park
Djukbinj National Park is a protected area in the Northern Territory of Australia located about east-south-east of the territory capital of Darwin. The national park was proclaimed on 3 April 1997 over land which has previous protected area status and which was part of the Wulna Land Claim - portion 1386 which was the former Escape Cliffs Historical Reserve, portion 2012 which was the former Cape Hotham Forest Reserve, portion 2017 which was the former Cape Hotham Conservation Reserve, and portions 4498, 4499 and 4707 which were parts of the former Marrakai Conservation Reserve. After the settlement of the land claim, the Limilngan-Wulna Aboriginal Corporation leased the land back to the former Conservation Commission of the Northern Territory for it to use for "the purposes of a national park" following the signing of a joint management agreement on 7 November 1994. Humpty Doo, Northern Territory
Humpty Doo is a small town in Australia's Northern Territory, situated just south of the Arnhem Highway, approximately 40 km from Darwin. At the , Humpty Doo had a population of 4,380 people. Its local government area is Litchfield Municipality. The town is a popular stopping point for tourists travelling between Darwin and Kakadu National Park, and boasts many attractions of its own. Escape Cliffs
Escape Cliffs is a place on the northern coast of the Northern Territory of Australia and the site of the fourth of a series of four failed attempts to establish permanent settlement in Australia's Top End. The previous attempts were at Fort Dundas, Fort Wellington and Port Essington. Escape Cliffs lies on the western coast of the Cape Hotham peninsula, and the eastern shore of Adam Bay, near the mouth and estuary of the Adelaide River. Arnhem Land Tropical Savanna
The Arnhem Land tropical savanna is a tropical and subtropical grasslands, savannas, and shrublands ecoregion in Australia's Northern Territory. Geography The ecoregion occupies the peninsula of Arnhem Land and its offshore islands, including the Tiwi Islands, Groote Eylandt, and the Wessel Islands. Western Arnhem land has rugged sandstone plateaus and gorges. The rest of the peninsula has gentler topography, and includes broad river floodplains and coastal lowlands.
