Dixon Seeto
Dixon Raphael Seeto (; 14 July 1951 – 19 July 2019) was a Fijian businessman and political leader of Chinese descent. He was President of the Fiji Islands Hotel and Tourism Association and of the Chinese Association of Fiji. In June 2006 he was appointed to the Fijian Senate as one of 9 nominees of the Prime Minister, Laisenia Qarase. On completing his secondary education in 1969, Seeto worked initially for Air Pacific and later for Tapa International together with David Wilson and the Warwick Hotel. From 1971 to 1974, he was employed by British Airways while studying aviation in London, on a scholarship. Upon graduating, he rejoined Air Pacific, where he remained until 1987. On 10 December 2005, Seeto won the 2005 Excellence Award for his contribution to the tourism industry, the ''Fiji Times'' reported the following day. Order Of Fiji
The Order of Fiji is the highest Order (honour), honour of the Fijian honours system. Established 1 March 1995, the order is presented for achievement and merit to Fiji and mankind as a whole. The order is divided into a general division and military division, and is presented in three classes, with an associated medal. The President of Fiji serves as the chancellor of the order and also as the order's Principal Companion. Following their terms of office, former Presidents remain as Companions of the Order of Fiji. Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane
The Princess Alexandra Hospital (PAH) is a major Australian teaching hospital of the University of Queensland, located in Brisbane, Queensland. It is a tertiary level teaching hospital with all major medical and surgical specialities onsite except for obstetrics, gynaecology, paediatrics, and medical genetics. It has a catchment population of 1.6 million people with 1038 beds and 5,800 full-time equivalent staff. In 2005, the hospital received Magnet Recognition. Sigatoka
Sigatoka ( ) is a town in Fiji. It is on the island of Viti Levu at the mouth of the Sigatoka River, for which it is named, some 61 kilometres from Nadi. Its population at the 2017 census was 17,622. It is the principal urban centre for the province of Nadroga-Navosa. An ornate temple, open to public and built by Hare Krishna devotees, dominates the Sigatoka skyline. Major tourist attractions include the Sigatoka Sand Dunes near Kulukulu village, two kilometres northwest of Sigatoka; and the Kula Eco Park, with some 500 birds of 100 species from many tropical countries. Established in Levuka on 4 September 1869 by George Littleton Griffiths, it is Fiji's oldest newspaper still operating.
