The Division of Swan is an Australian electoral division located in Western Australia. Swan is a marginal electorate that has swung between both major political parties in the past two decades. It extends across the Swan River from central Perth, and covers most of the area between the Swan and Canning Rivers. Swan includes the suburbs of South Perth, Como, Victoria Park, Rivervale, Belmont, High Wycombe, Maida Vale, Forrestfield and Wattle Grove. Swan includes a mix of incomes and housing types, from low-price flats to affluent suburbs with Swan River views. The electorate includes the campus of Curtin University, the Welshpool and Kewdale industrial areas, and Perth Airport. Swan covers 151 sq. kilometers. Forrestfield, Western Australia
Forrestfield is a suburb of the City of Kalamunda in Western Australia. It lies 15 kilometres to the south-east of Perth at the base of the Darling Scarp and the southern border of Perth Airport. The suburb is split by Roe Highway into a southern residential area and a northern industrial area. The suburb is adjacent to Wattle Grove, Cloverdale and Kalamunda. Kewdale is a suburb of Perth, Western Australia within the City of Belmont. Kew Street was one of the first roads in this district, hence the naming of the suburb. Geography Kewdale is bounded by Cloverdale and Perth Airport to the north, Belmont to the east and Welshpool and Carlisle to the south. The suburb is a mixture of residential to the west with commercial and industrial areas to the east. Welshpool Road
Welshpool Road is a major arterial road running through the metropolitan area of Perth, Western Australia. Although the road is now split in two, having had its western and eastern sections disconnected due to the extension of Roe Highway, it remains Welshpool's second most important road (after Orrong Road), and the highest quality access road for the Darling Scarp. Welshpool Road East is part of State Route 8, while the entire road was previously allocated State Route 35.
