# The 2005 Peru Census was a detailed enumeration of the Peruvian population. It was conducted by the Instituto Nacional de Estadística e Informática from July 18 through August 20, 2005. Its full name in Spanish is ''X Censo de Población y V de Vivienda'' ("Tenth Population and Fifth Household Census"). The previous census performed in Peru was the 1993 Census. The following census was the 2007 Census. The results of the census were released to the public on November 30, 2005 after all the census materials from the country's 25 regions were transported to Arequipa and processed at the INEI information processing center in that city. La Victoria District, Lima
La Victoria is a district in Lima Province, Peru. It is bordered to the north by the district of Lima; to the east by the districts of El Agustino, San Luis and San Borja; to the south by the district of San Isidro; and to the west by the districts of Lince and Lima. From the hierarchical point of view of the Catholic Church, it is part of the Episcopal Vicariate V of the Archdiocese of Lima. San Borja District
San Borja is a district of the Lima Province in Peru, and one of the upscale districts that comprise the city of Lima. Originally part of the district of Surquillo and San Isidro, it became officially established as a separate district on June 1, 1983. The new district took its name from a former ''hacienda'' ( estate) which dominated the area. The district's postal code is 41. The current mayor ( alcalde) is Alberto Tejada. San Borja, is a quiet setting, where it is pleasant to live, it is classified within the top 5 of best places to live in Lima by many means. San Borja is one of the few districts of Lima which was planned from the beginning and developed in an orderly fashion. Ate District
Ate, also known as Ate-Vitarte, is a district of the Lima Province in Peru. Located in the eastern part of the province, it is one of the districts that comprise the city of Lima. History The ''Ate'' name is of Aymaran origin and denoted a local Native town, while the ''Vitarte'' name is a Castilian Spanish derivation of the Basque family name ''Ubitarte'', which were the original Spanish landowners in the surrounding area. The district of Ate was founded by express law on August 4, 1821 by General Don José de San Martín, a few days after Peru's declaration of independence.
