Disney XD (Indian TV Channel)
Disney XD was an Indian pay television channel, which was launched in 2004 as Toon Disney. It was later relaunched as Disney XD on 14 November 2009. The network was the Indian equivalent to the original American network, and primarily aired a mix of animated and live action content. The channel was replaced by Marvel HQ on 20 January 2019 at 22:00. History In December 2004, as a part of expanding their South Asian market, The Walt Disney Company launched the Indian feeds of Disney Channel and Toon Disney. Both channels broadcast in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Toon Disney initially broadcast in English, Tamil, and Telugu, with a Hindi-language audio track being added on 1 September 2005. Toon Disney carried the Jetix block in the country. Among all children's television channels in India, Toon Disney had the lowest number of local programming. Disney XD was a Southeast Asian pay television channel owned by The Walt Disney Company (Southeast Asia) Pte. Jetix (stylized as JETIX) was a children's entertainment brand owned by The Walt Disney Company. The brand was for a slate of action/adventure-related programming blocks and television channels. Jetix programming mainly originated from the Saban Entertainment library, airing live-action and animated series with some original programming.
