Disney Channel (Czech TV Channel)
Disney Channel is a children's television channel owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company Limited. Broadcasting in the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary, the latter sharing its feed with a Hungarian audio track. It was previously known as Fox Kids, and later as Jetix. It was first launched in Hungary in September 2000, and was later expanded to the Czech Republic and Slovakia in February 2001. History After Disney XD successfully launched on 13 February 2009 in the US, Disney-ABC Television Group rolled it out to France on 1 April 2009 and it was expected to be rolled out to other European territories in 2009. In 2009, Disney announced that the Jetix channel in certain countries (namely the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria) would be rebranded as Disney Channel, marking that channel's first introduction in these countries. Fox Kids (originally known as Fox Children's Network and later as the Fox Kids Network; stylized as FOX KIDS) was an American children's block programming, programming block and branding for a slate of international children's television channels. Originally a joint venture between the Fox Broadcasting Company (Fox) and its network affiliate, affiliated stations, it was later owned by ABC Family Worldwide, Fox Family Worldwide. Disney Channel is a German free-to-air television channel owned by The Walt Disney Company Germany. The channel is based in Munich and for children. Aimed at all ages, its programming consists of original first-run television series, theatrically released and original made-for-cable movies and select other third-party programming. The original programming is mainly supplied by its U.S. counterpart. The channel was originally launched on 16 October 1999 as a subscription television channel on the Sky Deutschland platform. Disney Channel was a British and Irish television kids channel owned and operated by The Walt Disney Company (UK) Ltd. It was aired from 1 October 1995, to 30 September 2020. A one-hour timeshift service called Disney Channel +1 was available on Sky and Virgin Media. At the time of closure, the channel had two sister channels; Disney Junior and Disney XD.
