Discovery Turbo is an Indian male-oriented factual television channel devoted to programming regarding cars, bikes, boats, and planes. The channel is owned by Warner Bros. Discovery India. The channel was launched in January 2010, and was later converted into a men's only channel on 1 December 2014. 1080i
1080i (also known as Full HD or BT.709) is a combination of frame resolution and scan type. 1080i is used in high-definition television (HDTV) and high-definition video. The number "1080" refers to the number of horizontal lines on the screen. The "i" is an abbreviation for "interlaced"; this indicates that only the even lines, then the odd lines of each frame (each image called a video field) are drawn alternately, so that only half the number of actual image frames are used to produce video. A related display resolution is 1080p, which also has 1080 lines of resolution; the "p" refers to progressive scan, which indicates that the lines of resolution for each frame are "drawn" on the screen in sequence. The term assumes a widescreen aspect ratio of 16:9 (a rectangular TV that is wider than it is tall), so the 1080 lines of vertical resolution implies 1920 columns of horizontal resolution, or 1920 pixels × 1080 lines. Discovery Kids is an Indian children's television channel owned by Warner Bros. Discovery Asia-Pacific, a division of Warner Bros. Discovery International, which is owned by Warner Bros. Discovery. The channel launched on 7 August 2012. History Discovery Kids is the first channel in the kids' genre in India by Discovery Networks Asia Pacific launched on 7 August 2012. ''Auto Trader'' is a British television series, first shown on the Discovery Channel. It was presented by Mike Brewer and Edd China, who have worked together on other television series, including ''Wheeler Dealers''. Each episode was thirty minutes long. The programme was set in the fictitious garage called ''Mike's Motors''. The format for each episode is the same: * Mike introduces a buyer who is interested in purchasing a certain type of car e.g.: small hatchback, luxury car etc. He has three or more cars on offer, and the buyer decides which ones he or she is most interested in, taking usually two for a test drive. ''American Trucker'' was a television show on the Speed cable channel. Hosted bRobb Mariani the pilot episode featured Robb helping another mechanic restore one of the classic 1980 Kenworth K-100 Aerodyne trucks used in the TV show ''B. ''American Hot Rod'' is a reality television series that originally aired between 2004 and 2007 on The Learning Channel and Discovery Channel. The series followed renowned car designer Boyd Coddington and his crew as they built hot rods and custom vehicles at his wheel and car shop in La Habra, California. The show was known for its frequent rows and bust ups, and a high staff turnover rate. Some crew members went to work for ''Overhaulin'''s Chip Foose, a former partner of Coddington's, for a more relaxed environment; even Boyd's own son could not work there for long. The series ended when Boyd Coddington died, following complications from surgery, in February 2008. The car shop closed on June 20, 2008. ''American Chopper'' is an American reality television series that airs on Discovery Channel, produced by Pilgrim Films & Television. The series centers on Paul Teutul Sr. (frequently called ''Senior''), and his son Paul Teutul Jr. (also known as ''Paulie'' or simply ''Junior''), who manufacture custom chopper-style motorcycles. Investigation Discovery is an Indian television channel dedicated to true crime documentaries owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, broadcasting in English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
