Discos Musart
Discos Musart is a Mexican record label founded in 1948. It is headquartered in Mexico City and remains one of the country's biggest labels, focusing on Mexican music, as well as international releases licensed from various labels around the world. Over the years it has had several imprints such as Trebol, Oasis and Balboa Records. During the 1950s, Musart distributed albums by Cuban label Panart in Mexico. Until Capitol Records opened in Mexico in 1965, recordings by The Beatles were released by Musart Records in Mexico. Capitol re-releases now sometimes use completely different covers so detecting whether a Capitol version is actually an original Musart album or not can be difficult. Musart was acquired by Concord Bicycle Music (now Concord) in 2016. Lorenzo Antonio
Lorenzo Antonio (born Lorenzo Antonio Sánchez Pohl October 3, 1969, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, United States), is an American Latin music singer-songwriter, who is known and recognized in Mexico, the United States, and Latin America. He was raised in both Mexico and in the United States, and is fluent in both Spanish and English. Most of his songs are in Spanish, but he has released songs in English as well. Biography Early life Having come from a musical family, Lorenzo Antonio was exposed to music as soon as he was born. Lisa Lopez is a Tejano music singer who had a United States ''Billboard'' Regional Mexican Airplay number one single with "Si Quieres Verme Llorar" (1982) on the Hacienda Record label and produced by Rick Garcia. Lopez's core audience was targeted towards Mexicans, and became the first female Tejano singer to appear on the ''Billboard'' Top Latin Albums chart in October 1981. Historically, female musicians were commercially less successful than male performers. La Panchita (singer)
María de los Ángeles Muñoz Rodríguez, known by her stage name La Panchita, was a Mexican singer. She took her stage name from the song of the same name by Joaquín Pardavé. She began her career singing rancheras, but after a tour of South America, she brought new songs to her repertoire, such as the Peruvian waltz "Nube gris". José Manuel Figueroa Figueroa (April 8, 1951 – July 13, 2015), known professionally as Joan Sebastian (), was a Mexican singer-songwriter. He composed more than 1,000 songs, including compositions for artists such as Bronco, Vicente Fernández, Lucero, Pepe Aguilar, and Rocío Dúrcal. The first several years of his career were primarily focused on Latin pop songs, but later focused primarily on Regional Mexican music, specifically banda, mariachi, and norteño. Irma Aguirre Martínez (born 21 December 1933), commonly known as Irma Dorantes, is a Mexican actress, singer, and equestrian. One of the last surviving stars from the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. Career Her first film, '' Los tres huastecos'', was released in 1948. Dorantes participated in many Mexican films of the 1950s and 1960s. In 1963, she was nominated for a Silver Goddess Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in ''Sol en llamas'' (1962). Alma Graciela Haro Cabello (born María Graciela Herrejón Cabello; 18 February 1927 – 25 August 1992), known professionally as Esmeralda, was a Mexican singer and actress.
