Discordance Axis
Discordance Axis was an American grindcore band from East Brunswick, New Jersey. Biography Frontman Jon Chang stated on the history of the band: "Discordance Axis was a three piece grindcore band that started in NJ around 1992. The band started after myself and Rob's previous band disintegrated and we found Dave at a Human Remains show. We asked him to play a split 7-inch with us and it snowballed from there. The pattern was, we got together and wrote and recorded some material, then would part ways. Rob Marton plays guitar on every other recording we produced. Steve and Rob were two rea ...

The 1998 compact disc edition of the album included tracks taken from splits. The album was re-released on CD by Hydra Head Records on January 27, 2004. The song "Flow My Tears, the Policeman Said" is named after the novel of the same name by Philip K. Dick. Background and recording Recording sessions for the album were very stressful for the band, as members would frequently fight and argue. Tracks recorded for the album were either written before the sessions took place or were made up on the spot during studio time. Drums and guitars were recorded at Straight Jacket Studios, Allston, Massachusetts from July to August 1996. Vocals were recorded at Trax East, South River, New Jersey in September 1996, where the album was also mixed. Split material that's featured on the CD editions of the album were a ...

Corrupted (band)
Corrupted are a Japanese doom/sludge metal band. They are known for avoiding interviews and publicity. They have recorded several albums, including split albums with other artists and perform regularly in Japan and abroad. Musical style They were described by JB Roe of Grooveshark as "some of the heaviest, gloomiest doom/sludge around, distinctly cacophonous, layering feedback pulverizing progressions into a distinctly cacophonous rumble." However, some songs feature long acoustic sections, spoken-word interludes, and unconventional instruments. An example of the latter can be found on their 2005 album '' El mundo frio'', which is a 72-minute song with extensive sections of harp. Iann Robinson wrote on Nonelouder.com, "Right when you think you can peg Corrupted as an all Doom band they release a lush acoustic set within their bleak musical landscape." They mainly sing in Spanish, with some songs containing sections in Japanese or English. In 2009, ''Terrorizer'' chose Corrupted ...
