Discolized
''Discolized'' is the debut album from the Danish house DJ and producer Kato in collaboration with a number of DJs and vocal artists. The album was co-produced by Kato and Ahmad Darwich. ''Discolized'' was released on 1 March 2010 reaching No. 6 on the Danish Albums Chart. The album was reissued on 4 April 2011 under the title ''Discolized 2.0'' that includes new versions, remixes and singles "Sjus" and "Speakers On" on two CDs. Musical career Kato started DJing at nightclubs in 2005 remixing for other artists and independently since 2008, at which time he also started writing and producing his own music. His breakthrough came with the commercial success of the single "Turn the Lights Off", released on 1 January 2010, receiving platinum status for selling 30,000 copies in early August 2010. The track, is a cover version of an earlier hit by DJ Jose from 2007. The track contains the vocals of Jon Nørgaard, Jon (full name Jon Nørgaard), a Danish ''Popstars'' contestant. Brandon Beal (born December 16, 1983) is an American singer, songwriter and producer. He gained recognition through his single "Twerk It Like Miley" which went viral through the app Dubsmash, and charted in 14 different countries including Denmark, Indonesia, and Malaysia. He later released the single "Golden" that featured Lukas Graham which also reached number 1 in Denmark, and charted in Sweden, Norway, and Germany. Ahmad Darwich (in Arabic أحمد درويش) (born in Lebanon on 15 May 1977) also known as Darwich, is a Lebanese-Danish DJ, songwriter and record producer. He is co-founder of the Danish Kashcow record label. Darwich & Garcia Darwich closely collaborated with Thomas Høgsted between 1999 and 2004 as a dance music producing duo Darwich & Garcia producing various successful acts like Danish girl duo Creamy (whose debut album was certified four times platinum), Catch, Das Saint, Mardia, Mirah, Smile.dk, Tiggy, B Sides, JJ Spencer, Ivy D., Covergirl, Ice, Sisse, and Razz, the 2002 winner of Junior Melodi Grand Prix with the song "Kickflipper". Jon Nørgaard
Jon Gade Nørgaard (born 9 June 1985 in Grenå, Denmark) is a Danish singer who took part in Danish TV 2's musical competition ''Popstars'' in 2002 and winning the title. He is also known as Jon and took the alias John Rock while collaborating with house music duo Musikk. Music career In 2003, Nørgaard released his debut album '' This Side Up'' written by Søren Rasted. The album sold 135,000 copies and resulted in two successful singles " Right Here Next to You" and " This Side Up". The album was also reissued in an international edition in 2003. Johnson (rapper)
Marc Kwabena Johnson (born 1979), better known as Johnson, is a Danish rapper. Previously he was known as NiggerenISlæden (alias N.I.S.). Before his solo career, he was a member of the band B.A.N.G.E.R.S. and J.A.Z. and has collaborated with many Danish hip hop artists. Career Johnson was born in Svendborg to a Ghanaian father and a Danish mother. Carpark North
Carpark North is a Danish electronic rock band. The band was formed in Aarhus, Denmark on 28 July 1999 by Lau Højen (vocal, guitar), Søren Balsner (bass, synthesisers) and Morten Thorhauge (drums). The name "Carpark North" was created from the electro and rock genres: "Carpark" stands for car parks, edges, roughness, metal – the rock part, and "North" stands for northern lights, stars ethereal electronics. History The foundation for Carpark North was laid at Mellerup Efterskole, where Søren Balsner and Lau Højen met and formed a band. This band played in the national championship in rock in 1997. Velile (born Velile Mchunu in 1973 in KwaMashu, Natal, South Africa) is a South African pop singer and musical actress.
