Dirk Maas
Dirk Maas (12 September 1659 – 25 December 1717), was a Dutch Golden Age landscape painter. Biography Maas was born and died in Haarlem. Norton & Co., (1974), p. 35 as well as the personal sidearm of Highlanders. It was also the traditional sidearm of the Highland Clansman and later used by the officers, pipers, and drummers of Scottish Highland regiments around 1725 to 1800 and by Japanese naval officers.
