Dirk Fischer (politician)
Dirk Fischer (born 29 November 1943) is a German politician. He is a member of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party. Between 1980 and 2017, he was an MP of the German Bundestag as the representative for Hamburg-Nord constituency. For many years, Fischer was transport policy spokesman of the CDU/CSU parliamentary faction. He is also president of Hamburg Football Association (HFV) and a board member of German Football Association (DFB). Early life and education Fischer was born in Bevensen. After high school, Fischer served as a Bundeswehr soldier from 1964 to 1966. Afterwards he studied law at the University of Hamburg. The Hamburg Parliament (german: Hamburgische Bürgerschaft; literally “Hamburgish Citizenry”) is the unicameral legislature of the German state of Hamburg according to the constitution of Hamburg. As of 2011 there were 121 members in the parliament, representing a relatively equal amount of constituencies. The parliament is situated in the city hall Hamburg Rathaus and is part of the Government of Hamburg. Johannes Versmann
Johannes Georg Andreas Versmann (7 December 1820 in Sankt Pauli – 28 July 1899 in Hamburg) was a German lawyer and politician. He was the first president of the new '' Bürgerschaft of Hamburg'' in 1859 and dominated the politics of the Hanseatic state as first or second mayor between 1887 and 1899. Life Versmann was educated in the classical institutions of the city, Christianeum, where he established a lifelong friendship with the classical scholar Theodor Mommsen, and Johanneum until 1840. He studied law at the Georgia Augusta in Göttingen and at the Ruperto Carola in Heidelberg until 1844 and settled as lawyer in Hamburg in the same year. Versmann came in contact with the ideas of liberalism during his studies and stayed with them throughout his life.
