Dionne Quintuplets
The Dionne quintuplets (; born May 28, 1934) are the first quintuplets known to have survived their infancy. The identical girls were born just outside Callander, Ontario, near the village of Corbeil. All five survived to adulthood. The Dionne girls were premature. After four months with their family, custody was signed over to the Red Cross who paid for their care and oversaw the building of a hospital for the sisters. Less than a year after this agreement was signed, the Ontario government stepped in and passed the ''Dionne Quintuplets' Guardianship Act, 1935'' which made them wards of the Crown until the age of 18. The Ontario provincial government and those around them began to profit by making them a significant tourist attraction. USS Dionne (DE-261) was an of the United States Navy during World War II. She was sent off into the Pacific Ocean to protect convoys and other ships from Japanese submarines and fighter aircraft. She performed escort and antisubmarine operations in dangerous battle areas and returned home with six battle stars, a high number for a ship of her type. Namesake Arthur Louis Dionne was born on 6 June 1915 in Walpole, Massachusetts. He enlisted in the United States Naval Reserve on 4 November 1941 and was appointed a Midshipman 9 February 1942. Ensign Dionne was killed aboard during the Battle of Tassafaronga on 30 November 1942. Construction and commissioning ''Dionne'' was launched on 10 March 1943 by Boston Navy Yard; sponsored by Mrs. L. A. Dionne, mother of Ensign Dionne; and commissioned on 16 July 1943. ''Crystal Ball'' is a box set by American recording artist Prince. It includes ''Crystal Ball'', the artist's 21st studio album, which is a three-disc set of "previously bootlegged" material, together with a fourth disc, ''The Truth'', the twenty-first studio album by Prince. The box set was initially only available through direct orders by phone and internet. The direct order edition included a fifth disc, an instrumental studio album by The NPG Orchestra titled ''Kamasutra''. Shipment of this limited edition 5-CD version started on January 29, 1998, approximately two months before the release of the 4-CD version to retail stores on March 21, 1998. The album ''Crystal Ball'' is Prince's second triple album in succession, following ''Emancipation''.
