The Anglican Diocese of Eastern Newfoundland and Labrador is one of seven dioceses of the Ecclesiastical Province of Canada in the Anglican Church of Canada. As of 2012 the diocese had 50,000 members in 81 congregations organised in 35 parishes. The most widely spread parish has thirteen congregations. Bay De Verde
Bay de Verde ( 2016 population: 392) is an incorporated town in Conception Bay on the northern tip of the Bay de Verde Peninsula of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The first recorded inhabitants at Bay de Verde arrived in 1662. Bay de Verde became an incorporated town in 1950. Geography Bay de Verde is the northernmost community in Conception Bay. Arnold's Cove
Arnold's Cove ( 2016 Population 949) is a town on Newfoundland's Avalon Peninsula in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. It is in Division 1 on Placentia Bay. The name is found in population returns of 1836, and may have been given after the forename of a fisherman. In 1864 there was one family, and by 1893 there was a post office. It was a fishing settlement located approximately two kilometers from the Newfoundland Railway, located 35 miles from Placentia Junction. It was a Local Improvement District in 1967 and incorporated as a town the same year. It had a population of 100 in 1911 and 1,160 in 1976. Happy Valley-Goose Bay (Inuit: ''Vâli'') is a town in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Labrador City
Labrador City is a town in western Labrador (part of the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador), near the Quebec border. With a population of 7,412 as of 2021, it is the second-largest population centre in Labrador, behind Happy Valley-Goose Bay. Whitbourne, Newfoundland And Labrador
Whitbourne is a town on the Avalon Peninsula in Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada in Division 1. History Whitbourne, Newfoundland's first inland town, is named after Sir Richard Whitbourne, one of the most colourful early settlers of Newfoundland and Labrador who wrote a book about Newfoundland that was published in 1620. Sir Richard was appointed by the High Court of the Admiralty to set up the first English law court in the New World in 1615 in Trinity. He was kidnapped and held by the notorious Pirate Peter Easton in Harbour Grace. He also described a mermaid that he saw in St. John's harbour. Hodge's Cove
Hodge's Cove is a local service district and designated place in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It is southeast of Clarenville. Hodge's Cove was settled in 1861 and was first referred to as Hodge's Hole. It is not known for sure, but the settlement's name may have come from visitors who made short trips to the area to cut wood. As early as the 1840s, fisherman from Grates Cove in Trinity Bay came to Southwest Arm looking for wood. The way office was established in 1884 and the first way master was James Drover. Heart's Delight-Islington is a town on the south side of Trinity Bay in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador, located on Newfoundland and Labrador Route 80. Heart's Content is an incorporated town in Trinity Bay on the Bay de Verde Peninsula of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.
