Dinteracanthus
''Dinteracanthus'' is a genus of flowering plants belonging to the family Acanthaceae. Its native range is Angola and Namibia in tropical Africa. The genus name of ''Dinteracanthus'' is in honour of Kurt Dinter (1868–1945), a German botanist and explorer in South West Africa, and Greek term ἄκανθος (akanthos) for ''Acanthus mollis'', a plant that's image was used in Greek architecture. The genus was described in Vierteljahrsschr. Naturf. Ges. Zürich Vol.60 on page 416 in 1915.
