Dino Verzini
Dino Verzini (born 26 November 1943) is a retired Italian track cyclist who specialized in the sprint and tandem events. He was a national sprint champion in 1966 and 1968 and finished fifth at the 1968 Summer Olympics. In 1967 he won the tandem event at the national and World Championships, together with Bruno Gonzato; they also finished second at the 1969 Italian Championships. UCI Track Cycling World Championships
The UCI Track Cycling World Championships are the set of world championship events for the various disciplines and distances in track cycling. They are regulated by the Union Cycliste Internationale. Before 1900, they were administered by the UCI's predecessor, the International Cycling Association (ICA). Current events include: time trial, keirin, individual pursuit, team pursuit, points race, scratch race, sprint, team sprint, omnium and madison. Women's events are generally shorter than men's.
