Berardino Lombardi (born 10 May 1990) is an Italian motorcycle racer who has competed in the 125cc World Championship, the Supersport World Championship and the European Superstock 600 Championship. He won the CIV Stock 600 Championship in 2011. Benevento
Benevento (, , ; la, Beneventum) is a city and ''comune'' of Campania, Italy, capital of the province of Benevento, northeast of Naples. It is situated on a hill above sea level at the confluence of the Calore Irpino (or Beneventano) and the Sabato. In 2020, Benevento has 58,418 inhabitants. 2006 Catalan Motorcycle Grand Prix
The 2006 Catalan motorcycle Grand Prix was the seventh round of the 2006 MotoGP Championship. It took place on the weekend of 16–18 June 2006 at the Circuit de Catalunya located in Montmeló, Catalonia, Spain. The MotoGP race was initially red flagged after a crash at the first corner, caused by Loris Capirossi's Ducati making contact with teammate Sete Gibernau's front brake lever. Six riders were involved; John Hopkins, Dani Pedrosa and Randy de Puniet were able to take the restart, while Gibernau, Capirossi and Marco Melandri were not. After the second start was aborted due to an issue with Chris Vermeulen's Suzuki on the grid, the grid reformed for a third time and the race was shortened from 25 laps to 24. The 2007 Qatar motorcycle Grand Prix was the opening round of the 2007 MotoGP championship. It took place on the weekend of 8–10 March 2007 at the 5.38 km Losail International Circuit in Qatar. The MotoGP race was the first for the 800cc (48.8 cu in) engines and the Honda RC212V. 2007 Grand Prix Motorcycle Racing Season
The 2007 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season was the 59th F.I.M Road Racing World Championship season. The season consisted out of 18 races for the MotoGP class and 17 for the 125cc and 250cc classes, beginning with the Qatar motorcycle Grand Prix on 10 March 2007 and ending with the Valencian Community motorcycle Grand Prix on 4 November. Season summary The 2007 season was significant as it introduced a new regulation which specifies that competitors in the MotoGP class were allowed use up to 800 cc motorcycles; between 2002 and 2006, competitors had been allowed to use 990 cc motorcycles. While the 800cc motorcycles had less power than their 990cc counterparts, their ability to brake later and carry more speed through turns due to their lighter weight (which actually increased their power to weight ratio) allowed them to break lap records in pre-season testing.
