Dinny Kelleher
Denis "Dinny" Kelleher (22 July 1902 – 30 May 1963) was an Australian rules footballer who played for Carlton and South Melbourne in the Victorian Football League (VFL). Early life Born in the small rural town of Baddaginnie in 1902. He apparently captained his school's football team, then went on to play with Baddaginnie in the Euroa District Football Association in 1919, 1920 and 1921. Kelleher then played with Benalla in the Ovens and Murray Football League in 1922 and 1923, gaining selection in the OMFL team against the VFL in 1923. He stood out of football in 1924 as Benalla refused to clear him to Wangaratta. Standing out of football for a year gave him an automatic clearance. At Wangaratta he played as the team's centre half-forward in their 1925 Ovens and Murray Football League premiership and 1926 Ovens and Murray Football League grand final loss to St. Patrick's. Baddaginnie, Victoria
Baddaginnie is a town in Victoria, Australia. It is located on the North East railway line, in the Rural City of Benalla, 12 kilometres south-west of Benalla itself on the old Hume Highway. It is situated in mainly flat unforested country, one kilometre west of Baddaginnie Creek. At the , Baddaginnie and the surrounding area had a population of 308. This name was related to Sri Lankan labourers who worked in a railway line project in early 1900. Labourers didn't know English and they only used word "Baddaginnie" during the time of working. "Baddaginnie" meaning "Hungry" in Sinhala. History The town was surveyed in 1857, named after the nearby Baddaginnie Creek, but settlement was slow, a Post Office finally opening on 16 September 1879. Murtoa is a wheat district town in Victoria, Australia, situated around Lake Marma on the Wimmera Highway, north-west of the state capital, Melbourne. The town is in the Shire of Yarriambiack local government area. At the , Murtoa had a population of 865 and is located around 30 kilometres from Horsham, a major city in the Wimmera region. Northern Tasmanian Football Association (1886–1986)
The Northern Tasmanian Football Association (NTFA) was an Australian rules football competition which ran from 1886 to 1986. In its time it was one of the three main leagues in Tasmania, with the Tasmanian Football League and North West Football Union representing the rest of the state. It was based in the city of Launceston. The three most successful clubs of the old NTFA, Launceston, North Launceston and City-South, went on to compete in the short-lived TFL Statewide League. From 1947 to 1983 the NTFA was a six team competition, in 1984 George Town and Deloraine joined to make eight teams. In 1987, the NTFA merged with the North West Football Union to form the Northern Tasmanian Football League. At the end of 1995 the Tasmanian Amateur Football Association disbanded, The southern clubs help form the Southern Football League, The northern clubs formed a competition called the Northern Tasmanian Football Association.
