Dinira National Park
The Dinira National Park ( es, Parque nacional Dinira) is a protected area with the national park status located between the states Lara, Portuguesa and Trujillo in the South American country of Venezuela. It was created on November 30, 1988. It was created in order to protect the upper basin of the Tocuyo River. In total there are five basins, Orinoco, Guanare, Motatán, and Lake Maracaibo, including the Tocuyo River. It has an area of 45,328 hectares of mountainous relief in whose entrails are born in addition to the river Tocuyo, numerous streams of water of regional importance. This motivated the natives who populated it to call it Dinira, because its waters feed other currents below. It can rain up to 1,300 mm annually. Lara (state)
Lara State ( es, Estado Lara, ) is one of the 23 states of Venezuela. The state capital is Barquisimeto. Lara State covers a total surface area of and, in 2015, had a census population of 2,019,211. Toponymy The state is named after a notable hero of Venezuela's independence, General Jacinto Lara. History During the colony and a large part of the independence period, the current territory of Lara belonged to the province of Caracas. In 1824 it was absorbed by the Province of Carabobo, created that year. In 1832, after the disintegration of the Great Colombia, the region was disintegrated; it was then constituted in the Province of Barquisimeto, which included the cantons of Quíbor, El Tocuyo, Carora and Barquisimeto; besides others that conform today the state of Yaracuy. Trujillo State ( es, link=no, Estado Trujillo, ) is one of the 23 states of Venezuela. Its capital is Trujillo but the largest city is Valera. Lake Maracaibo
Lake Maracaibo (Spanish: Lago de Maracaibo; Anu: Coquivacoa) is a lagoon in northwestern Venezuela, the largest lake in South America and one of the oldest on Earth, formed 36 million years ago in the Andes Mountains. The fault in the northern section has collapsed and is rich in oil and gas resources. It is Venezuela's main oil producing area and an important fishing and agricultural producing area. Morrocoy National Park
Morrocoy National Park is located in the easternmost coast of Falcón state and northwestern of Golfo Triste, in the west central Venezuelan coast, near the towns of Boca de Aroa, Tucacas, Sanare, Chichiriviche, Flamenco and Tocuyo de la Costa, and consists of .
