Västerås Municipality (''Västerås kommun'') is a municipality in Västmanland County in central Sweden. Its seat is located in the city of Västerås Västerås ( , , ) is a city in central Sweden on the shore of Lake Mälaren in the province of Västmanland, west of Stockholm.
