Dinas Bok
''I Am Dina'' is a 2002 Norwegian-Swedish-Danish film directed by Ole Bornedal. It is based on the 1989 book ''Dinas bok'' (''Dina's Book'') by Herbjørg Wassmo. It was one of the most high-profile films in Norwegian movie history. Plot In Northern Norway during the 1860s, a little girl named Dina accidentally causes boiling lye to spill over her mother at the laundry, causing her mother's death. Overcome with grief, her father refuses to raise her, leaving her in the care of the household servants. Dina grows up wild and unmanageable, with her only friend being the stable boy, Tomas. She summons her mother's ghost and develops a strange fascination with death as well as a passion for living. Ole Bornedal
Ole Bornedal (born 26 May 1959) is a Danish film director, actor and producer. Bornedal was born in Nørresundby, Denmark. He wrote and directed '' Nattevagten'' (''Nightwatch'', 1994), a thriller about a law student who works in a morgue as a night-watchman, and becomes implicated in a series of murders of prostitutes. He also directed an English language remake ('' Nightwatch'') in 1997, starring Ewan McGregor, Nick Nolte and Patricia Arquette. In 2002, he directed ''I Am Dina''. Fjord
In physical geography, a fjord or fiord () is a long, narrow inlet with steep sides or cliffs, created by a glacier. Kjerringøy
Kjerringøy is a village in Bodø Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. The village is located about north of the town of Bodø, along the Karlsøyfjorden, just south of the entrance to the Folda fjord. The Kjerringøy Church is located in the village. Gørild Mauseth
Gørild Mauseth (born 24 April 1972) is a Norwegian actress. After graduating from the Norwegian National Academy of Theatre, she has worked at both Den Nationale Scene and Nationaltheatret (the National Theatre). Bjørn Sundquist
Bjørn Richard Sundquist (born 16 June 1948) is a Norwegian actor, famous for TV, theatre, and movie roles. For many years he worked at Det Norske Teatret and Nationaltheateret in Oslo, and he is especially famous for the roles as Merlin and Hamlet. Jørgen Reenberg (born 8 November 1927) is a Danish film actor. He has appeared in 30 films since 1948. He was born in Denmark. He is the brother of Danish film director Annelise Reenberg.
