Arthur Dimmock
Arthur Frederick Dimmock D.Arts (15 July 1918 – 25 November 2007) was an English writer, journalist and historian. Early life Arthur Dimmock was born to Eleanor Dimmock on 15 July 1918, in Whitley Bay, Northumberland. He became deaf after a bout of meningitis during early childhood. Eleanor Dimmock learned the manual alphabet to educate him at home. She had interpreted radio shows and his favourite football matches, which led to Dimmock becoming a voracious reader. This subsequently helped him acquire a command of English surpassing his hearing peers by the time he was seven. It had also allowed him to acquire a command of French and Latin. He never spoke English as he found it "irrelevant". He preferred finger-spelling as his means of communication.

Charlotte Elouise Dimmock (born 10 August 1966) is an English gardening expert and television presenter. She was a member of the team on ''Ground Force'', a BBC gardening makeover programme, airing from 1997 to 2005. Since then, Dimmock has presented numerous TV shows in the UK and US, including ''The Joy of Gardening, Charlie's Garden Army'' and most recently ''Garden Rescue''. Early life and education Dimmock attended Wellow Primary School and the Mountbatten School in Romsey, Hampshire. Her father Terry was a merchant seaman, and her mother Sue ran her own clothes shop. Jessica Dimmock (born June 23, 1978) is a documentary photojournalist and filmmaker based in Brooklyn, New York City. Her body of work, ''The Ninth Floor'', documented the lives of a group of young heroin users over the course of several years. Education and career Dimmock is a 2005 graduate of the program in documentary photography and photojournalism at the International Center of Photography. Jimmy Dimmock
James Henry Dimmock (5 December 1900 – 23 December 1972) was a footballer who scored the winning goal for Tottenham Hotspur in the 1921 FA Cup Final. He played as an outside left and became the fans' favourite with his mazy runs and trickery, and also won three caps for England. Early years Dimmock was born in Edmonton on 5 December 1900 where he attended Montague Rd School. He played junior football for Park Avenue and Gothic Works before signing as an amateur for Tottenham Hotspur in 1916. During the First World War, he played for Clapton Orient and Edmonton Ramblers. Dimmock served as a gunner in the First World War with the Royal Field Artillery. Professional career Dimmock turned professional with Tottenham Hotspur in May 1919, and his first match was at Lincoln City on 4 October. Peter Harold Dimmock, Royal Victorian Order, CVO, Order of the British Empire, CBE (6 December 1920 – 20 November 2015) was a British sports broadcaster and senior television executive during the formative years of the medium in the 1950s.
