Dimitar Angelov
Dimitar Angelov (born August 25, 1979) is retired Bulgarian professional basketball player. He plays as a power forward or small forward and his height is 202 cm. Angelov currently is the head coach for Levski Sofia in the Bulgarian League and assistant in Bulgaria national basketball team . He is known as the Bulgarian Kukoc, due to similar style of play with Toni Kukoč. He played in two European Basketball Championships (EuroBasket 2005 and EuroBasket 2009). Angelov is a son of the former player and coach for BC Yambol Ivan Angelov. Professional career Angelov began his career in his hometown with Yambol in 1995, where he played until 2002. In this period his club won the league in 2002, where he averaged 17.1 points, 5.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists. National Basketball League (Bulgaria)
The National Basketball League (NBL) (in Bulgarian: Националната баскетболна лига) is the highest professional basketball league in Bulgaria. The current league was founded in 2008, though the first-tier level existed since 1942 and was previously called the Bulgarian A Division. The games in the NBL are played under FIBA rules. Basketball Player
Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket in diameter mounted high to a backboard at each end of the court, while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop. Georgi Mladenov (born 11 May 1962 in Sofia) is a Bulgarian professional basketball coach, and a former professional basketball player. During his playing career, at a height of 1.92 m (6'3 ") tall, he played at the shooting guard and small forward positions. BC Academic Metropol Region ( bg, БК "Академик" Метропол-Рийджън) is a reestablished Bulgarian professional basketball club based in the capital Sofia. In April 2022, Academic has been reborn and rebranded by the new owners, the german-bulgarian Ex-professional basketball player Viktor Vladov and Georgi Petrov. BC CSKA Sofia ( bg, БК "ЦСКА София") is a Bulgarian professional basketball club based in the capital Sofia and part of the CSKA Sofia sports club. The 2002–03 Greek Basket League season was the 63rd season of the Greek Basket League, the highest tier professional basketball league in Greece. It was also the 11th season of the Greek Basket League championship that was regulated by HEBA (ESAKE). The 2009 FIBA European Championship, commonly called FIBA EuroBasket 2009, was the 36th FIBA EuroBasket regional basketball championship held by FIBA Europe. The tournament, which was hosted by Poland, began on 7 September and concluded with the final on 20 September 2009. The competition served as a qualification tournament for the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey. Spain claimed their first EuroBasket title by routing Serbia 85–63 in the final.
