Dimension (film)
''Dimension'' is a 2010 Danish unfinished gangster film written and directed by Lars von Trier. Production began in 1990, the film was shot in over six years from 1991 to 1997. The original intention was to continue production in four-minute segments every year for a period of 33 years for a final release in 2024. In 2002, von Trier lost interest in the project after the death of Cartlidge, Constantine, and Hugo Järegård. The unfinished film consists of the completed footage as a short film at the time, the rest of the film's development was abandoned without them. Cast Von Trier was known in the same regular group of European actors including French-American Jean-Marc Barr, German Udo Kier, and Swedish Stellan Skarsgård, who were cast in several later von Trier films: ''Breaking the Waves'', ''Dancer in the Dark'', ''Dogville'', and ''Nymphomaniac''. ''Europa'' (known as ''Zentropa'' in North America) is a 1991 experimental psychological drama anti-war film directed by Lars von Trier. It is von Trier's third theatrical feature film and the final film in his Europa trilogy following ''The Element of Crime'' (1984) and ''Epidemic'' (1987). This is a list of abandoned and unfinished films. Films may not be completed for several reasons, with some being shelved during different stages of the production. Some films have been shut down days into production. Other unfinished films have been shot in their entirety but have not completed post-production where the film is edited and sound and score added. This is different from unreleased films which are finished but have not yet been released and shown in theatres or released on DVD. In some instances these films cannot be shown due to legal reasons. Withdrawn films are similar except they did have brief showings but cannot be shown again, also usually for legal reasons. Jens Dyhr Okking, (18 December 1939 – 21 January 2018) was a Danish actor, singer and politician. Jens Okking was mostly known outside of Denmark from Lars von Triers TV-series '' The Kingdom''. In Denmark, Okking was a notable actor for many years, both in theatre, films and TV series and he also worked as theatre director. Apart from his acting, Okking performed as a singer throughout his career, including many recordings with a variety of musicians, mainly from Denmark. He also used his voice to record several audiobooks, mostly for children, and in radio plays for the Danish Broadcasting Corporation (DR).
