Forest is a town in Vernon County, Wisconsin, United States. The population was 583 at the 2000 census. The unincorporated communities of Dilly, Mount Tabor, and Valley are located in the town. Geography According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 36.0 square miles (93.1 km2), all of it land. Demographics As of the census of 2000, there were 583 people, 199 households, and 159 families residing in the town. The population density was 16.2 people per square mile (6.3/km2). There were 258 housing units at an average density of 7.2 per square mile (2.8/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 97.08% White, and 2.92% from two or more races.
