Dillalah
Dillalah Station is a pastoral lease that operates as a cattle station in Queensland. The property is situated approximately south west of Charleville and north of Cunnamulla. The property is situated on the western side of the Warrego River and is intersected by the Nimminmulla Creek with several permanent waterholes. The country comprises open plains covered in Mulga, Saltbush, bluebush, cottonbush, Mitchell grass and yarron. The name is Aboriginal in origin, Dillilah means Galah in the local dialect. The name is taken from a waterhole along the Warrego River. The area was initially established prior to 1864 by Mr. W. G. Conn who still owned it in 1864 when it was stocked with 500 head of cattle. The Warrego River is an intermittent river that is part of the Darling River, Darling catchment within the Murray–Darling basin, which is located in South West Queensland and in the Orana (New South Wales), Orana region of New South Wales, Australia. The Warrego River is the northernmost tributary of the Darling River. The Argus (Melbourne)
''The Argus'' was an Australian daily morning newspaper in Melbourne from 2 June 1846 to 19 January 1957, and was considered to be the general Australian newspaper of record for this period. Widely known as a conservative newspaper for most of its history, it adopted a left-leaning approach from 1949. ''The Argus''s main competitor was David Syme's more liberal-minded newspaper, ''The Age''. Paroo River
The Paroo River, a series of waterholes, connected in wet weather as a running stream of the Darling catchment within the Murray–Darling basin, is located in the South West region of Queensland and Far West region of New South Wales, Australia. It is the home of the Paarkantji people. Course and features The river rises in the gorge country of western Queensland south of the Mariala National Park, and flows generally south and spreads into the vast floodplains of New South Wales, eventually reaching the Paroo overflow lakes. Balonne River
The Balonne River, part of the Murray-Darling Basin system, is a short yet significant part of the inland river group of South West Queensland, Australia. Course and features The river is a continuation of the Condamine River. After flowing through Surat the river flows south south-westerly down through the E.J. Beardmore Dam (Lake Kajarabie). Passing through St George it continues in the same south-west direction, until about north of Dirranbandi, where it branches, with the western branch then being called the Culgoa River. The eastern branch continues on as the Balonne River through Dirranbandi.
