Dignidad Ahora
Dignity Now ( es, Dignidad Ahora, DA) was a Chilean political coalition formally created on 11 August 2020 between the Humanist and Equality parties, to which various social and political organizations have joined. History Dignidad Ahora was officially presented on 11 August 2020 through an act in the Plaza Baquedano in Santiago de Chile. In addition to the PH and the PI, the group was formed at the time of its foundation by the groups Acción Popular de Valparaíso, Victoria Popular, Maule Piensa, Fuerza Cultural, Pirate Party, Movimiento Democrático Popular and Poder Electoral Constituyente. The coalition's first participation was in the 2021 municipal elections; the pact was registered on 6 January of that year. Pamela Jiles (journalist)
Pamela Jiles Moreno (born 30 November 1960) is a Chilean journalist and politician, currently serving as a member of the Chamber of Deputies, representing District 12 of the Santiago Metropolitan Region. Throughout her career, Jiles has gained attention for her confrontational personality. She has gained the nickname "Abuela" (Grandma). Biography Jiles studied journalism at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile. She began working as journalist in the 1980s on several magazines against Augusto Pinochet's dictatorship, such as ''Solidaridad'', ''Apsi'' and ''Análisis''. The Equality Party ( es, Partido Igualdad) was a Left-wing politics, left-wing political party in Chile. It was founded in 2009 by various social movements of workers, students, mortgage borrowers, townspeople and human rights organizations, among other actors. Its first president was former Communist Party of Chile, communist councilor of Peñalolen, Lautaro Guanca. Legally registered in 2012, it first appeared in the 2012 Chilean municipal election, municipal elections of that year. Reaching 0.81% of the vote, it got the election of one councilor. 2021 Chilean General Election
General elections were held in Chile on 21 November 2021, including presidential, parliamentary and regional elections. Voters went to the polls to elect the President of the Republic to serve a four-year term, 27 of 50 members of the Senate to serve an eight-year term in the National Congress, all 155 members of the Chamber of Deputies to serve a four-year term in the National Congress, and all 302 members of the regional boards to serve a three-year term.
