Digna Strautmane
Digna Strautmane (born 18 September 1998) is a Latvian professional basketball player. She played college basketball for Syracuse and Georgia Tech and has played for the Latvian national team. Early life and career Strautmane was born in Riga, Latvia. She played in the junior Latvian leagues before debuting for TTT Riga of the Latvian NBL in the 2014–15 season. She played three seasons for TTT Riga. College career Strautmane played college basketball in the United States with the first four years being with Syracuse from 2017 to 2021 and the final season being with Georgia Tech in 2021–22. Syracuse statistics Source Professional career Strautmane made her professional debut in Australia for the Ringwood Hawks of the NBL1 South during the 2022 season. Latvia Women's National Basketball Team
The Latvia women's national basketball team is the national women's basketball team representing Latvia. It is administrated by the Latvian Basketball Association. It has participated in EuroBasket Women three times and once in the Olympic Games. History Golden age of Latvia women's national basketball team was from 2007 to 2009, when head coach was Ainars Zvirgzdiņš. In EuroBasket 2007 Latvia first time in history reached semi-final. In third place game they lost to Belarus. 2018 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup
The 2018 FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup, the 18th edition of FIBA's premier international tournament for women's national basketball teams, was held in Tenerife, Canary Islands, Spain from 22 to 30 September 2018. This was the first edition to use the name of ''FIBA Women's Basketball World Cup''. After the last edition in 2014, FIBA changed the name of the competition from the ''FIBA World Championship for Women'', in order to align its name with that of the corresponding men's competition. 2022 NBL1 Season
The 2022 NBL1 season was the third season of the NBL1. With the West Conference introduced in 2021 alongside the South, North and Central conferences, the NBL1 expanded further in 2022 with the inclusion of an East Conference. The 2022 season was the NBL1's first full season to be completed since 2019 and the first to feature the NBL1 National Finals. NBL1 South
NBL1 South is a NBL1 conference based in South East Australia, comprising both a men's and women's competition. In 2019, Basketball Victoria partnered with the National Basketball League (NBL) to create NBL1 to replace the South East Australian Basketball League (SEABL), Australia's pre-eminent semi-professional basketball league between 1981 and 2018. NBL1 South was the lone conference in 2019, with Queensland and South Australia joining in 2020.
