Digital Summer
Digital Summer was an American alternative metal band from Phoenix, Arizona, formed in 2006. The band has released three studio albums, ''Cause and Effect'' (2007) ''Counting the Hours'' (2010) and '' Breaking Point'' (2012). Additionally, in 2013, the band released '' After Hours: Unplugged & Rewired'', which contained acoustic reinterpretations of songs from their first three albums. The band has had six singles break into major radio airplay, including multiple charting singles on Active Rock radio, as a completely independent artist. History Formation and ''Cause and Effect'' (2006-2008) Digital Summer was formed in 2006 when vocalist and songwriter Kyle Winterstein and guitarist Ian Winterstein enlisted long time friend and bassist Anthony Hernandez to form the core of the band. Counting The Hours
''Counting the Hours'' is the second full-length studio album by alternative metal band Digital Summer. It was released on May 11, 2010, and features the singles "Just Run" and "Playing the Saint." Alternative Metal
Alternative metal (also known as alt-metal) is a genre of heavy metal music that combines heavy metal with influences from alternative rock and other genres not normally associated with metal. Alternative metal bands are often characterized by heavily downtuned, mid-paced guitar riffs, a mixture of accessible melodic vocals and harsh vocals and sometimes unconventional sounds within other heavy metal styles. WFXH-FM
WFXH-FM (106.1 MHz), known as "Rock 106.1", is an active rock radio station targeted to Savannah, Georgia. The station was a monitored reporter on the Alternative (Modern Rock) panel. Formerly, WFXH reported as an Alternative station to Arbitron and various radio industry publications. The station featured a specialty show called ''Underexposed'', Sunday nights, 9-11 pm. During the show they spotlight indie rock artists like The Decemberists, The Shins, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, The Arcade Fire, and Cold War Kids, along with local acts. That show has apparently been cancelled, its presence excised from the station's website. In April 2008, WFXH debuted ''You Heard It First'', a new show heard weeknights at 11 pm that features only new rock, as part of what the station calls "New Rock Nights". Jimmy Eat World is an American rock band formed in 1993 in Mesa, Arizona. KSHE
KSHE (styled as K-SHE) is a Classic rock radio station licensed to Crestwood, Missouri which serves the Greater St. Louis area. KSHE transmits on 94.7 MHz and currently uses the slogan "KSHE 95, Real Rock Radio".
