Digimortal (album)
''Digimortal'' is the fourth studio album by American Heavy metal music, heavy metal band Fear Factory, released on April 24, 2001 by Roadrunner Records. It is a concept album and the final part of a trilogy that started with ''Demanufacture (album), Demanufacture'' and continued with ''Obsolete (album), Obsolete'', which it is the sequel to. It was the band's last album before officially breaking up in March 2002. Although ''Digimortal'' was not a commercial success, this was not given as reason for the band's breakup, which was instead said to be frontman Burton C. Bell's desire to "form a band that's more indie rock, indie-rock-oriented". Fear Factory would officially reform in 2003, however, to begin work on their next album, ''Archetype (Fear Factory album), Archetype''. ''Digimortal'' was the last to feature founding guitarist and songwriter Dino Cazares for eight years until his return to the band in 2009. Background and recording In February 2000, Fear Factory reported work ...

Fear Factory is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1989. Throughout the band's career, they have released ten full-length albums and have evolved through a succession of sounds, all in their main style of industrial metal. Over the years, Fear Factory has seen frequent changes in its lineup, with lead vocalist Burton C. Bell being the only consistent member for 31 years until his departure in 2020. Cazares returned as guitarist, and Gene Hoglan as drummer. Bell and Stroud reprised their respective roles, and this lineup recorded the band's seventh studio album titled '' Mec ...

Hardcore Hip Hop
Hardcore hip hop (also hardcore rap) is a genre of hip hop music that developed through the East Coast hip hop scene in the 1980s. Pioneered by such artists as Run-DMC, Schoolly D, Boogie Down Productions and Public Enemy, it is generally characterized by anger, aggression and confrontation. History Music experts have credited Run-DMC as the first hardcore hip hop group. Other early artists to adopt an aggressive style were Schoolly D in Philadelphia and Too $hort in Oakland, California. Before a formula for gangsta rap had developed, artists such as Boogie Down Productions and Ice-T wrote lyrics based on detailed observations of "street life", while the confrontational and aggressive lyrics and chaotic, rough production style of Public Enemy's records set new standards for hardcore hip hop and hip hop production.Hardcore Rap Allmusic.
