Digha Heliport
Digha Heliport is located at Digha, West Bengal, India. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee inaugurated the new facility on 23 December 2015. The heliport's commercial service started on 26 December 2015. The heliport, owned by the Government of West Bengal, is the first of its kind in the country. The heliport is spread over 25 acres, a few kilometres away from the Digha sea-beach. The Government of West Bengal also known as the West Bengal Government, is the subnational government of the Indian state of West Bengal , created by the National Constitution as the state's legislative, executive and judicial authority. The State Governor acts as the head of state and is the highest nominal authority of the state power, however, it is the Chief Minister who is the chief executive authority and head of government. The temporary secretariat is located in the Nabanna building in the district of Howrah, adjacent to the state capital.
