Digby Morrell
Digby Morrell (born 10 October 1979) is a former Australian rules footballer who played with the Kangaroos and Carlton in the Australian Football League (AFL). From Western Australia, Morrell played his early senior football for West Perth. His 44-game senior career for the Falcons spanned 1998–2000, and he was the club's leading goalkicker in 2000. At the age of 21, Morrell was recruited to the Australian Football League by the Kangaroos Football Club with its third round selection in the 2001 AFL Rookie Draft. As a forward he twice kicked five goals during his time with the Kangaroos. The first was in a losing cause against Sydney in 2002 and the other the following season in a drawn game against Brisbane. After the 2003 season, Morrell was traded, along with David Teague, to the Carlton Football Club in exchange for Corey McKernan. West Perth Football Club
The West Perth Football Club, nicknamed the Falcons, is an Australian rules football club located in Joondalup, Western Australia. West Perth competes in the West Australian Football League (WAFL) and WAFL Women's (WAFLW) and is the oldest existing Australian rules football club in Western Australia. Originally located at Leederville Oval, the team was relocated in 1994 to Arena Joondalup, a sports complex in the northern suburbs of Perth. Strathmore Football Club
Strathmore Football Club is an Australian rules football club located 7 km north west of Melbourne in the suburb of Strathmore and was founded in 1954 as a junior club. The senior club was established in 1957. The club originally played its home games in Pascoe Vale before moving to its current home at Lebanon Reserve in Strathmore. The club won its seventh A Grade Premiership in 2011 with a win over rivals Oak Park. Strathmore came into the game underdogs after losing the semi final to Oak Park by 37 points. However, Strathmore prevailed; the final scores were Oak Park 11.13 (79) def. by Strathmore 11.15 (81). The West Coburg Football Club is an Australian rules football club located 8 km north west of Melbourne in the suburb of Coburg. The club fields seniors and juniors in the Essendon District Football League. History The club is one of the oldest in the EDFL, founded in 1927, it soon found itself playing in the VFA Sub-District Association. It took a little time to settle then the club won five premierships in a row from 1937 to 1941. After the war the club again saluted in 1949 and 1953. The Essendon District Football League (EDFL) is a professional Australian rules football league competition based in Essendon, Victoria, consisting of teams based in the north-west suburbs of Melbourne. Founded in 1930, the men's competition consists of three leagues: Premier Division, Division 1 and Division 2, with 10 clubs in the Premier Division and Division 1 nine in Division 2. Promotion and relegation between these divisions occurs, with the lowest-placed clubs in the Premier Division and Division 1 being relegated at the end of each season. Clubs which win the Division 1 and Division 2 premierships are automatically promoted. Each men's team also fields a reserves side and an under-19 side that play a fixture mirroring that of the senior side. Box Hill Hawks Football Club is an Australian rules football club playing in the Victorian Football League. It has an alliance with the Hawthorn Football Club, which plays in the Australian Football League. Early Australian rules football in Box Hill – 1903 to 1935 Organised Australian rules football within the municipality of Box Hill can be traced back to the year 1903.
