Dieter Laser
Klaus Dieter Laser (17 February 1942 – 29 February 2020) was a German actor. Laser's career spanned over five decades, appearing in both German and English-language productions. He achieved recognition for his lead role in the 2009 film ''The Human Centipede (First Sequence)'' and also starred in the third entry in 2015. On television, he had a recurring role on ''Lexx'' from 1998 to 2000. Life and career Laser was born in Kiel, Germany. He was known to English speaking audiences for his roles as Mantrid in ''Lexx'', Prof. Otto Blaettchen in '' The Ogre'', Dr. Josef Heiter in ''The Human Centipede (First Sequence)'' and Bill Boss in ''The Human Centipede 3 (Final Sequence)'' In 1975, he was awarded the ''German Film Award in Gold'' in the category of ''Best Actor'' for his title role in '' John Glückstadt''. Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival
The Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival (BIFFF), previously named Brussels International Festival of Fantastic Film (french: Festival international du film fantastique de Bruxelles, nl, Internationaal Festival van de Fantastische Film van Brussel) was created in 1983 as a venue for horror, thriller and science fiction films. It takes place in Brussels, every year in March. Initially organized by Annie Bozzo, Gigi Etienne, Freddy Bozzo, Georges Delmote and Guy Delmote, it now has prizes in both feature-length and short films, and also hosts an international body-painting competition. ''Baltic Storm'' is a 2003 film written and directed by Reuben Leder about the 1994 MS ''Estonia'' disaster. Based on the book ''Die Estonia: Tragödie eines Schiffsuntergangs'' by German journalist Jutta Rabe, the film focuses on the supposed transport of defense materials by the Swedish Armed Forces, and alleged cover-up of the true cause of the disaster. Plot The plot portrays the Swedish government as being responsible for using the ship to covertly transport Russian high-tech components to the United States. The story is uncovered by a young female journalist, not unlike Rabe herself. Ingo Hasselbach (born 14 July 1967 in Berlin-Weißensee) is a German well known for being a former neo-Nazi. He is the author of the book ''Führer Ex: Memoirs of a Former Neo-Nazi'' (with Tom Reiss), also made into a movie directed by Winfried Bonengel, which has been translated into several languages. Furthermore he was co-founder of the German EXIT project, which helps people leave the neo-Nazi community. The project is modeled on a Swedish project with the same name. Hasselbach's parents were two Communist-party loyal journalists. His mother was an editor at the ADN ("Allgemeiner Deutscher Nachrichtendienst", the former GDR's news service), while his father was employed at the broadcasting service in East Berlin.
