Dieter Brei
Dieter Brei (30 September 1950) is a former Germans, German Association football, footballer, now a football trainer. Biography Brei was born in Verl near Bielefeld in North Rhine-Westphalia. He began his football career in the early days of black and white television broadcasting. In 1970, he transferred to Arminia Bielefeld in the Bundesliga, where he played in 43 games and scored three goals. After the team's relegation in 1972, he transferred to Fortuna Düsseldorf where he continued his playing career, scoring 30 goals in 221 games, until injuries forced him to retire in 1981. During this time he won as a member of the winning Fortuna team the DFB-Pokal in the years 1979 and 1980. Overall as a defensive and midfield player he played in 264 Bundesliga games, in which he scored 33 goals. Verl
Verl () is a town in the Gütersloh (district), district of Gütersloh in the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is approximately 15 km south of Bielefeld and 10 km east of Gütersloh. In the 19th century two citizens of Verl, Johannes Otto and Ferdinand Bredeik (Bredeick), founded two towns in Ohio, USA: Delphos, Ohio, Delphos and Ottoville. Since the 1990s Verl has been an official sister city of both towns. History The name Verl was first mentioned in the expression 'Henricus de Verlo', which can be found in a charter from 1264. The designation probably relates to the farm estate Meier zu Verl, which belonged to a group of four estates that presumably came into existence around the turn of the first millennium. The UEFA Cup Winners' Cup was a European football club competition contested annually by the winners of domestic cup competitions. The cup was, chronologically, the second seasonal inter-European club competition organised by UEFA. The tournament ran for 39 seasons, with the final edition held in 1998–99, after which it was discontinued. The first tournament was held in 1960–61, but it was organised by the Mitropa Cup's Organising Committee and not recognised by the governing body of European football until 1963, when it was accepted as a UEFA competition on the initiative of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC). The Oberliga (, "Upper League"; plural: ''Oberligen'') is the fifth tier of the German football league system. Before the introduction of the 3. Liga in 2008, it was the fourth tier.
