Regensberg
Regensberg is a municipalities of Switzerland, municipality in the district of Dielsdorf (district), Dielsdorf in the Cantons of Switzerland, canton of Zurich (canton), Zurich in Switzerland. It is located just to the west of Dielsdorf ZH, Dielsdorf, on a ridge of the Lägern (). History Regensberg was founded as a hilltop fortified settlement about 1245 by Baron Lüthold of Regensberg. The Regensberg Castle, fortifications include a high round tower dating from the 16th or 17th century and a deep water well. The church, originally dating from the 13th century, was rebuilt in 1506. During the mid 13th Century relations between the Barons of Regensberg and the city of Zürich became strained. At about this same time, the barons began to argue with the House of Habsburg, Habsburgs over who would inherit the lands of the now extinct Kyburg (castle), Kyburg family. Dielsdorf railway station is a railway station in the Swiss canton of Zurich and municipality of Dielsdorf. The station is located on the Wehntal railway line, and is served by Zurich S-Bahn line S15. The station was opened in 1865, and was initially the terminus of a branch of the Bülach-Regensberg Railway from Oberglatt. The line was extended by the Swiss Northeastern Railway as part of their Wehntal line to Niederweningen in 1891, and Dielsdorf became a through station. Niederhasli is a municipality in the district of Dielsdorf in the canton of Zürich in Switzerland. History Niederhasli is first mentioned in 931 as ''Hasila''. On 10 January 2000, Crossair Flight 498 crashed in Niederhasli after taking off from Zurich Airport, killing all 10 people on board. The accident was caused by pilot error which lead to loss of control of the aircraft. Geography Niederhasli has an area of . Of this area, 58.3% is used for agricultural purposes, while 21.5% is forested. Of the rest of the land, 18.7% is settled (buildings or roads) and the remainder (1.5%) is non-productive (rivers, glaciers or mountains). The municipality is located in the lower Glatttal near the entrance to the Wehntal. It includes the villages of Niederhasli, Oberhasli, Mettmenhasli and Nassenwil. Wehntal is the name of a valley region in the Canton of Zürich in Switzerland. Geography The ''Wehn'' valley (native German name: ''Wehntal'') area is situated between the Lägern and ''Egg'' mountain chain in the Dielsdorf District of the Canton of Zürich in Switzerland. Lägern
The Lägern (also spelled ''Lägeren''; 866 m) is a wooded mountain of the Jura Mountains, stretching from Baden to Dielsdorf, about 15 km north-west of Zurich. The culminating point is located 1 km west of Hochwacht within the canton of Zurich, the border with the canton of Aargau running on a slightly lower summit named ''Burghorn'' (859 m). The Lägern lies in the easternmost part of the Jura Mountains, east of the river Aare. It is the highest summit of the range lying between the Rhine, Aare and Limmat. Its location east of the Aare makes it topographically connected to the Appenzell Alps, by the chain of hills running north of Lake Zurich. The mountain is entirely traversed by a trail following the crest from Baden to Dielsdorf. The education system in Switzerland is very diverse, because the constitution of Switzerland delegates the authority for the school system mainly to the cantons. The Swiss constitution sets the foundations, namely that primary school is obligatory for every child and is free in state schools and that the confederation can run or support universities. Zürich S-Bahn
