Diego Goris
Diego Agustin Goris (born November 8, 1990) is a Dominican professional baseball infielder for the Charleston Dirty Birds of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. He signed with the Pittsburgh Pirates as an international free agent in 2008. Career Pittsburgh Pirates On May 23, 2008, Goris signed as an international free agent with the Pittsburgh Pirates. He made his professional debut with the Dominican Summer League Pirates. Goris returned to the team in 2009, batting .277/.313/.368 with 1 home run and 31 RBI. In 49 games for the team in 2010, Goris batted .310/.343/.450 with 5 home runs and 29 RBI. Goris returned to the DSL Pirates for a fourth season in 2011, slashing .350/.387/.511 with 5 home runs and 46 RBI in 68 games. An infielder is a baseball player stationed at one of four defensive "infield" positions on the baseball field. Standard arrangement of positions In a game of baseball, two teams of nine players take turns playing offensive and defensive roles. Although there are many rules to baseball, in general the team playing offense tries to score runs by batting balls into the field that enable runners to make a complete circuit of the four bases. Lake Elsinore Storm
The Lake Elsinore Storm are a Minor League Baseball team of the California League and the Single-A affiliate of the San Diego Padres. The Storm plays their home games at Lake Elsinore Diamond (Pete Lehr Field), which opened in 1994; the park seats 7,866 fans. History This team relocated three times and has been traced back to the Redwood Pioneers, then the Palm Springs Angels, and finally the Lake Elsinore Storm. Baseball At The 2020 Summer Olympics
Baseball was featured at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Tokyo, for the first time since the 2008 Summer Olympics. Six national teams competed in the tournament: Israel, Japan (host), Mexico, South Korea, the United States, and the Dominican Republic. Baseball/softball was one of five sports that were added to the programme of the 2020 Summer Olympics only. It will not return in 2024. The tournament was originally scheduled to be held in 2020, but on 24 March 2020, the Olympics were postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Guerreros de Oaxaca (English: Oaxaca Warriors) are a professional baseball team in the Mexican League based in Oaxaca City, Oaxaca, Mexico. Their home field is Estadio Eduardo Vasconcelos.
