Diego Flores (chess Player)
Diego Flores (born 18 December 1982) is an Argentine chess player who received the FIDE title of Grandmaster (GM) in 2008. He is a five-time Argentine Chess Champion. Chess career He competed in the FIDE World Cup in 2005, 2007, 2009, 2013 and 2017. Flores won the Argentine Chess Championships of 2005, 2009, 2012 2016, and 2017. Flores has played for the Argentine national team in the Chess Olympiad, the Pan-American Team Chess Championship and the Mercosur Chess Olympiad. In 2010 he won the 2nd ''Magistral Marcel Duchamp'' round-robin tournament in Buenos Aires, edging out Sandro Mareco on tiebreak. 2008 Chess Olympiad
The 38th Chess Olympiad (german: Die 38. Schacholympiade), organized by FIDE and comprising an open and a women's tournament, as well as several other events designed to promote the game of chess, took place from 12 to 25 November 2008 in Dresden, Germany. There were 146 teams in the open event and 111 in the women's event. In total, 1277 players were registered. Both tournament sections were officiated by international arbiter Ignatius Leong (Singapore). In a change from recent Olympiads, the number of rounds of the Swiss system were reduced from 13 to 11 with accelerated pairings. For the first time, the women's division, like the open division, was played over four boards per round, with each team allowed one alternate for a total of five players. Eric Hansen (born May 24, 1992) is a Canadian chess player and Twitch streamer. FIDE awarded him the title of Grandmaster in 2013. He competed in the FIDE World Cup in 2011 and 2013. Alexander Shabalov
Alexander Anatolyevich Shabalov (russian: Алекса́ндр Анато́льевич Шаба́лов; lv, Aleksandrs Šabalovs; born September 12, 1967) is an American chess grandmaster and a four-time winner of the United States Chess Championship (1993, 2000, 2003, 2007). He also won or tied for first place seven times in the U.S. Open Chess Championship (1993, 1999, 2003, 2007, 2008, 2015, 2016). Julio Granda Zuñiga
Julio Ernesto Granda Zúñiga (born February 25, 1967) is a Peruvian chess grandmaster and four-time champion of the Americas. Career Born in Camaná, he learned how to play chess at the age of five. In 1980 he won the World Infant Cup in Mazatlàn, Mexico. In 1984 Granda won the Pan American Junior Chess Championship in Lima. By the age of 19, he had obtained the title of Grandmaster by the FIDE, the World Chess Federation, after surpassing the chess rating of 2500. He finished 1st with Bent Larsen at Mar del Plata 1993.
